Cast AI, an Application Performance Automation platform, has launched OMNI Compute, a unified marketplace enabling enterprises to access and provision GPUs across any cloud provider or region without code changes. Concurrently, the company announced a strategic investment from Shinsegae Group's venture arm, Pacific Alliance Ventures, which propelled Cast AI's valuation to over $1 billion. The platform is designed to break cloud lock-in and automate infrastructure optimization for AI and cloud-native workloads at scale.

  • Cast AI's valuation surpasses $1 billion with a strategic investment from Shinsegae Group's venture arm.

  • The company launches OMNI Compute, a unified marketplace for accessing GPUs across clouds and regions.

  • OMNI Compute allows workloads to run on external capacity without application code or operational changes.

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is among the initial cloud providers supplying GPU capacity through the marketplace.

  • The platform automates infrastructure optimization, cost control, and performance for Kubernetes environments.

  • Cast AI has expanded globally, with offices in key tech hubs and customers including BMW, Cisco, and HuggingFace.

OMNI Compute: Unifying Dispersed GPU Capacity

The newly launched OMNI Compute functions as a control plane that automatically discovers available compute resources, including GPUs, across multiple cloud providers and regions. It transparently extends existing Kubernetes clusters to consume this external capacity. This design aims to make GPU resources fungible, allowing enterprises to run AI inference and other workloads where capacity is actually available, bypassing regional shortages and avoiding vendor lock-in while maintaining compliance control. “OMNI Compute makes GPUs fungible at the infrastructure layer so capacity isn’t trapped inside a single cloud or region,” said Laurent Gil, President and Co-Founder of Cast AI.

Strategic Investment and Billion-Dollar Milestone

The strategic investment from Pacific Alliance Ventures (PAV), the corporate venture arm of South Korea's Shinsegae Group, marks a significant validation of Cast AI's platform vision and its global growth trajectory. This follows a Series C round in 2025 led by G2 Venture Partners and SoftBank Vision Fund 2. “Shinsegae Group’s investment, and our over one billion dollar valuation, underscore the market’s confidence in our platform vision and our ability to execute it globally,” said Yuri Frayman, Co-Founder and CEO.

Industry Validation and Use Cases

The platform has garnered support from key partners and customers. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is an initial cloud provider on OMNI Compute, with Oracle's SVP Karan Batta stating it “opens entirely new markets” by allowing workloads from any hyperscaler to tap into OCI's GPU fleet. Enterprise customer Uniphore highlighted the operational impact, with VP Erik Johnson calling it a “game changer” that eliminates regional GPU shortages and provides global performance consistency for AI inference without code changes.

Rapid Global Expansion

Cast AI has experienced record growth, expanding its geographic footprint with new offices in Bangalore, London, New York, and Tel Aviv, and establishing subsidiaries in seven countries since its Series C round. Its customer base includes major enterprises like Akamai, BMW, Cisco, and Samsung Electronics, which cited reduced operational overhead and improved cost control using Cast AI's automation on Amazon EKS.

By combining a cross-cloud GPU marketplace with its core automation platform, Cast AI is positioning itself as a critical layer for enterprises running scalable, cost-efficient AI infrastructure. The $1 billion+ valuation and strategic partnership underscore the market's demand for solutions that provide flexibility, automation, and control in the increasingly complex and resource-constrained landscape of cloud-native and AI workloads.
