Carbyne’s flagship APEX platform, a next-generation 911 call-handling solution, has driven remarkable growth, with a 477% year-over-year increase in annual recurring revenue (ARR). The platform’s adoption has surged, with a 105% rise in customers, as public safety agencies transition from legacy systems to cloud-native infrastructure. Operating across nearly 300 sites in 23 U.S. states and six countries, Carbyne supports over 7,000 call-takers globally.
Carbyne’s AI Suite is integrated into its platform, providing real-time support for call handling, dispatch, resource coordination, and emergency decision-making. Unlike add-on solutions, Carbyne’s AI leverages proprietary data from millions of emergency interactions, enabling highly accurate virtual agents. “As AI adoption accelerates in public safety, Carbyne is uniquely positioned to lead,” said Alex Dizengof, Co-Founder and CTO of Carbyne. “By building AI into the core of our platform, we’re not just enhancing emergency response — we’re setting the standard for faster, smarter, and more reliable outcomes when every second counts.”
The funding round includes participation from AT&T Ventures, Axon Enterprise, Cox Enterprises, Global Medical Response, and others. “Every day, first responders and 911 operators face critical, split-second decisions,” said Axon Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development Henrik Kuhl. “Carbyne is transforming how emergency calls are managed — delivering real-time, AI-powered intelligence to those on the front lines of public safety.” Similarly, Edward “Ted” Van Horne, Chief Operating Officer at Global Medical Response, noted, “Investing in Carbyne and furthering our partnership supports GMR in continuing to improve that care — bringing cloud-native, data-rich technology to the front lines of emergency response for increased safety in the communities we serve.”
With the new capital, Carbyne plans to expand its R&D and engineering teams, deepen AI capabilities, and strengthen go-to-market efforts in North America, Latin America, and EMEA. The company will also invest in strategic partnerships to enhance its ecosystem of tools for emergency responders, ensuring security, privacy, and reliability remain core to its platform.
This funding marks a pivotal moment for Carbyne, reinforcing its mission to transform emergency communications. By leveraging AI and cloud-native technology, Carbyne is poised to deliver faster, smarter, and more reliable solutions, saving lives and enhancing public safety worldwide.
