Natus Expands AI-Powered EEG Analysis

Natus Medical has announced the integration of its autoSCORE AI analysis tool into the latest release of BRAIN QUICK Software, extending AI-assisted electroencephalography (EEG) interpretation beyond the United States to healthcare providers across Europe and other international markets.

The expansion follows the CE marking received earlier this year, enabling broader adoption of the technology across global healthcare organizations.

AI Enhances EEG Interpretation and Clinical Workflows

The autoSCORE algorithm is designed to support neurologists by automating EEG analysis using a deep-learning model trained on approximately 30,000 expertly labeled EEG recordings.

Unlike conventional spike and seizure detection systems, the AI evaluates multiple clinically relevant EEG abnormalities while providing study-level assessments that help clinicians determine whether an EEG recording is normal or abnormal. The platform also utilizes a closed AI model to deliver consistent and secure analysis.

Clinicians using the latest version of BRAIN QUICK Software have highlighted the platform's recording reliability, particularly in high-volume and complex clinical environments such as presurgical evaluations.

The company noted that combining AI-supported analysis with its existing EEG review and reporting capabilities helps streamline neurodiagnostic workflows without replacing clinical expertise.
