LGND AI, Inc., a New York-based company revolutionizing how people and AI interact with Earth data, announced on July 10, 2025, that it has raised $9 million in a seed funding round. Led by Javelin Venture Partners, with participation from AENU, Space Capital, Overture, Ridgeline, MCJ, Coalition Operators, Clocktower Ventures, and notable angel investors like John Hanke (Keyhole founder), Karim Atiyeh (Ramp co-founder), and Suzanne DiBianca (Salesforce EVP), the funding will accelerate LGND’s development of geospatial AI tools.

Quick Intel

  • LGND AI secures $9M seed funding led by Javelin Venture Partners.

  • Builds geospatial AI platform for intuitive Earth data analysis.

  • Uses geographic embeddings to simplify satellite imagery processing.

  • Targets industries like insurance, logistics, and public agencies.

  • Plans no-code app, enterprise solutions, and API/SDK expansions.

  • Early use cases include wildfire modeling and infrastructure monitoring.

Transforming Earth Data with AI

Earth data, critical for applications from climate adaptation to defense logistics, is often too costly and complex for widespread use. LGND’s platform, built on geographic embeddings, transforms satellite imagery into scalable, AI-readable datasets, enabling developers and analysts to create and deploy geospatial insights intuitively. “Our mission is to make Earth data universally accessible and actionable through AI,” said Nathaniel Manning, CEO and co-founder of LGND. “We’re making Earth understandable to people—and to AI.” The platform’s “geo-embeddings factory” produces dynamic datasets faster and more affordably than traditional computer vision methods, which rely on pixel-level analysis.

Dynamic, Real-Time Geospatial Solutions

Unlike static digital maps, LGND’s platform creates “living systems” that adapt in real time, offering rich contextual insights. “We believe geographic embeddings are the new first order data object for geospatial information, much like map tiles were two decades ago,” said Dan Hammer, co-founder and Chief Product Officer. Early use cases include wildfire risk modeling for insurers, illegal mining detection, and infrastructure monitoring, with pilot projects gaining traction among professional service firms and logistics companies. The platform supports no-code customization, allowing users to filter data by criteria like infrared sensors or weather conditions, enhancing accessibility for non-technical users.

Scaling with New Funding

The $9M funding will drive LGND’s launch of a no-code geospatial app and an enterprise-facing solution, alongside expanded developer access through SDKs and APIs, including support for Anthropic’s MCP protocol for AI agent integration. “This shift is not incremental, but revolutionary. It requires rebuilding the entire ecosystem of Earth observation,” said Bruno Sánchez–Andrade Nuño, Chief Science Officer and co-founder. With a geospatial market valued near $400 billion, LGND’s tools aim to democratize Earth intelligence for industries like insurance, finance, and public agencies, enabling rapid, scalable analysis without coding expertise.

LGND’s innovative approach, backed by Javelin’s Noah Doyle joining the board, positions it to lead the geospatial AI market. By simplifying access to Earth data, LGND empowers organizations to tackle complex challenges like environmental risk and supply chain disruptions, redefining how AI interacts with our planet.
