Lens by Mirantis has introduced Lens Prism, the industry’s first fully-integrated, production-grade AI assistant embedded within the Lens Kubernetes IDE. Combined with a new One-Click AWS Integration, Lens Prism simplifies Kubernetes operations, enhances productivity, and streamlines access to Amazon EKS clusters, addressing the complexity that often challenges Kubernetes users.

Quick Intel

  • Lens Prism is the first embedded AI assistant for Kubernetes management.

  • Enables natural language queries for troubleshooting and operations.

  • One-Click AWS Integration connects to EKS clusters without manual setup.

  • Operates within RBAC permissions, ensuring enterprise-grade security.

  • Provides real-time, context-aware insights from kubectl output and logs.

  • Used by over 1 million Kubernetes users to boost productivity.

Introducing Lens Prism: AI-Powered Kubernetes Management

Lens Prism, launched by Mirantis, is a groundbreaking AI assistant integrated directly into the Lens Desktop IDE. Unlike generic AI tools, it is tailored to the user’s active Kubernetes context, including clusters, namespaces, workloads, and RBAC permissions. “We’re addressing the number one complaint of Kubernetes, which is complexity,” said Miska Kaipiainen, head of product for Lens at Mirantis. “Lens Prism puts the power of a site reliability engineer (SRE) inside every developer’s IDE. It removes friction from day-to-day Kubernetes operations while maintaining enterprise-grade security and control.” This innovation allows users to manage Kubernetes clusters using natural language queries, such as “What’s wrong with my pod?” or “Is anything failing in my cluster?”

Streamlined Operations with Real-Time Insights

Lens Prism delivers actionable insights by leveraging real-time kubectl output, metrics, and logs. It generates ready-to-run commands, enabling users to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The assistant operates entirely within the user’s kubeconfig, adhering to role-based access control (RBAC) permissions, which ensures secure and controlled operations. This context-aware approach distinguishes Lens Prism from browser-based chatbots, making it a powerful tool for developers and DevOps teams managing complex Kubernetes environments.

One-Click AWS Integration for EKS Clusters

The new One-Click AWS Integration simplifies connectivity to Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) clusters across accounts and regions. By eliminating the need for command-line setup or credential management, it streamlines access to cloud infrastructure. This feature transforms Lens into a centralized platform for managing distributed Kubernetes environments, enhancing speed and operational control for teams working with AWS EKS.

Lens: A Leading Kubernetes IDE

Lens is the world’s most popular Kubernetes IDE, trusted by over 1 million users to manage, develop, debug, and troubleshoot workloads across multiple clusters in real-time. Its intuitive graphical interface supports any certified Kubernetes distribution on Linux, macOS, and Windows. Lens Prism and One-Click AWS Integration are available at no additional cost for Lens Premium plan users (Plus, Pro, and Enterprise), further enhancing productivity for both new and experienced Kubernetes users.

With Lens Prism and One-Click AWS Integration, Mirantis is redefining Kubernetes management. By combining AI-driven insights with seamless cloud integration, Lens empowers teams to operate efficiently, securely, and at scale, paving the way for faster and more effective Kubernetes workflows.
