Bito, a San Francisco-based AI developer platform, has secured a $5.7 million seed extension to advance its innovative AI Code Review Agent, which transforms code review processes for enterprises. With a focus on deep codebase understanding, Bito is redefining software development efficiency and quality.
Bito raises $5.7M seed extension, totaling $8.8M in seed funding.
AI Code Review Agent integrates with GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
Speeds up pull request merges by 89% with 87% AI-driven feedback.
Supports over 50 programming languages, including JavaScript, Python.
Funding to enhance AI tooling, CI/CD integrations, and team growth.
Used by enterprises like Gainsight, Whatfix, and PubMatic for efficiency.
Bito’s $5.7 million seed extension round, led by Vela Partners with participation from NextView Ventures, Maxitech Ventures, and Eniac Ventures, brings its total seed-stage funding to $8.8 million. The funding will enhance its AI Code Review Agent, which integrates seamlessly into GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket workflows, offering line-by-line feedback, issue detection, and one-click fix suggestions across over 50 programming languages. “Everyone talks about writing code with AI. But production systems live and die by how well that code is reviewed, tested, and maintained,” said Amar Goel, co-founder and CEO of Bito.
Unlike traditional tools, Bito’s AI Code Review Agent deeply understands codebase context and architectural patterns, enabling human-like reasoning during reviews. It supports popular languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and Java, with growing adoption in Go and C#. “Dev velocity is increasing, but reviews can’t keep up. Quality slips as fewer engineers understand the whole codebase,” said Yigit Ihlamur of Vela Partners. Bito addresses this by reviewing over 10,000 pull requests weekly for enterprises like Gainsight, Whatfix, and PubMatic, achieving 89% faster pull request merges and 34% fewer regressions.
Bito’s platform delivers significant ROI, with teams reporting $14 returns for every $1 spent on its tooling. By automating 87% of pull request feedback, it reduces human effort while maintaining enterprise-grade security, including SOC 2 Type II certification and no code storage for training. The platform’s context-aware suggestions enhance code quality, making it an onboarding accelerator for junior developers and a productivity booster for veterans. Funding will support deeper CI/CD integrations and team expansion across engineering and go-to-market functions.
Bito is at the forefront of agentic AI software development, focusing on the critical yet overlooked code review process. Its AI-driven approach aligns with the emerging trend of “vibe coding,” where developers collaborate with intelligent agents to navigate complex codebases. With this funding, Bito aims to further innovate its platform, ensuring engineering teams can manage the growing volume of AI-generated and human-written code while maintaining quality and speed.
This $5.7 million seed extension positions Bito to lead the transformation of enterprise software development. By combining deep codebase awareness with AI-driven efficiency, Bito empowers developers to deliver high-quality code faster, setting a new standard for code review in the AI era.
