Xero and Anthropic have announced a multi-year partnership that integrates Claude AI directly into the Xero platform while making Xero’s financial data and tools available in Claude.ai. This collaboration delivers real-time financial intelligence to millions of small businesses and their accounting and bookkeeping advisors.
“Every day, millions of small business owners ask the same questions: Why is cash tight this month? Which invoices are overdue? "To run their business efficiently, small business owners and their accountants and bookkeepers need to be able to answer these questions and act on them in real time whether using Xero or Claude. This partnership delivers on that.”
The partnership marks the first time Xero customers can work directly with their financial data inside a major AI platform. It enables Claude to power end-to-end financial workflows at scale, reducing manual effort in chasing invoices and piecing together cash flow reports.
Customers will orchestrate financial tasks across accounting, payroll, and payments. Powered by Claude’s advanced reasoning, Xero’s AI superagent JAX will analyze revenue and profit performance, track real-time cash flow, identify unpaid invoices, and suggest actionable steps for business owners and advisors.
Users can safely bring their Xero financial data into Claude.ai for deeper analysis and business planning. By combining real-time revenue, profit, and invoice data with external trends or plans, customers can evaluate scenarios such as year-end positions. Over time, the integration will suggest and enable one-click execution of end-to-end financial actions.
Data responsibility remains central to the partnership. Financial data shared between platforms is used solely for the user’s specific session and is never used to train Claude’s AI models.
