Wix.com Ltd, a global leader in SaaS-based website building, has launched the Wix Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, revolutionizing how developers and business owners leverage AI to build and manage web applications on the Wix platform. With the MCP Server, users can now connect Wix’s robust business tools with AI-powered assistants using simple natural language prompts—streamlining development and management workflows.
The MCP Server acts as a contextual intelligence layer that enables AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Windsurf to understand and interact with Wix’s infrastructure. This empowers users to perform a wide variety of tasks—ranging from custom code generation to business management—without needing manual setup or advanced programming knowledge.
From managing inventory and scheduling staff to launching secure checkouts, handling ticketing, and leveraging a flexible CMS, the MCP brings all of Wix’s core business solutions within reach through AI. Built-in CRM capabilities allow seamless lead capture, while the integrated back-office tools offer a centralized ecosystem for business operations.
Designed for a range of professionals—freelance web developers, digital agencies, internal dev teams, and AI automation specialists—the MCP Server bridges AI clients and Wix’s headless infrastructure. Developers can use their existing IDEs to build integrations faster with fewer documentation requirements, focusing on speed and functionality.
“The addition of the Wix MCP Server expands this offering, making our powerful business solutions even more accessible to developers through instant, effective tools backed by Wix’s enterprise-grade infrastructure,” said Yaniv Even Haim, CTO at Wix. “This empowers them to provide secure, scalable solutions for their clients while harnessing the full potential of Wix’s headless platform.”
The MCP unlocks a comprehensive suite of APIs and services, enabling cross-vertical solutions such as e-commerce, blogs, scheduling, and events—built on top of a reliable and scalable foundation.
Today at Stripe Sessions, Wix will demo how the MCP integrates with Wix Payments and Stripe, allowing developers to generate complete payment-enabled websites through LLMs. Supported payment methods include credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Access to the Wix MCP Server is free for developers, with an upgrade option to a Premium Plan for extended functionalities, including full online payment integration.
