Uniform has introduced a major upgrade to Scout, its agentic AI platform, as enterprises prepare for a shift toward AI-mediated customer interactions and content discovery. The release adds new automation, orchestration and AI optimization capabilities designed to help organizations manage digital experiences for both human users and AI agents.

The company said the update reflects its long-term strategy around what it calls “dual-audience composition,” where digital experiences must simultaneously serve human visitors and AI systems that increasingly handle discovery, research and commerce interactions.

  • Uniform is positioning its platform around “dual-audience” digital experiences for humans and AI agents.

Uniform Focuses on AI-Ready Enterprise Experience Infrastructure

Uniform stated that traditional content management systems were not designed for a digital ecosystem increasingly shaped by AI agents and automated discovery platforms. The company referenced Gartner research forecasting that by 2028, 80% of customer interactions could shift away from traditional digital channels toward agentic AI interfaces.

"We projected two years ago that the next decade of digital experiences would be built around two distinct audiences," said Lars Birkholm Petersen, CEO of Uniform. "Everything we've shipped since and everything Scout does is grounded in that vision. Humans and agents don't just need different interfaces. They need a platform that treats them as equals, all the way down to the content model. That's what makes Uniform different, and it's what our customers are now operating on."

The upgraded Scout platform builds on two years of development since the AI agent’s initial debut in 2024 and introduces several capabilities designed to automate enterprise content workflows while improving AI discoverability and answer-engine optimization.

Five Core Features Introduced in the Scout Upgrade

Uniform’s latest release introduces five major platform capabilities intended to support AI-assisted content operations and orchestration workflows.

Reusable AI Skills for Content and GEO Workflows

Scout now allows organizations to encode editorial standards, brand voice guidelines and GEO/AEO optimization requirements into reusable AI instructions called Skills.

These AI-driven workflows can automate tasks such as structured data generation, answer-engine optimization audits and entity tagging directly within content operations.

Third-Party MCP Server Connectivity

The platform now integrates with external tools using Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, enabling Scout to connect with systems such as Slack, analytics platforms and project management tools.

Uniform stated that MCP connectivity also enables external AI agents to discover and interact with enterprise content systems more efficiently.

Vector Search Across Enterprise Content

Scout now includes vector search capabilities that allow users to locate content using semantic meaning rather than keyword matching. The feature supports natural language queries and enables AI agents to access broader contextual understanding across content repositories.

AI-Powered Bulk Content Operations

The update introduces bulk automation workflows that allow teams to execute large-scale content updates using natural language instructions.

According to Uniform, organizations can now run enterprise-wide GEO and AEO optimization projects, structured data updates and content tagging initiatives through AI-assisted workflows that previously required extensive manual effort.

Autonomous and Review Modes

Scout now supports configurable autonomy settings, allowing organizations to determine whether AI-generated actions execute automatically or require human approval before publishing.

The feature is designed to give enterprises more control over brand-sensitive workflows while enabling faster automation for routine operational tasks.

Uniform Pushes “Dual-Audience Composition” Strategy

Uniform said the platform is designed to support experiences optimized for both traditional website visitors and AI systems responsible for content summarization, recommendation and commerce interactions.

Unlike legacy CMS and headless CMS platforms, Uniform positions its orchestration layer as a system capable of exposing content through interfaces tailored for both human interaction and AI agent consumption.

The company also emphasized deployment flexibility, stating that enterprises can adopt the platform incrementally without requiring full infrastructure replacement.

Uniform said organizations can integrate the orchestration and agentic AI layer into existing systems while continuing to use current content repositories and data sources.

Growing Focus on Agentic CMS and AI-Orchestrated Content

The Scout upgrade arrives as analyst firms and enterprise technology vendors increasingly focus on the emergence of agentic content management systems and AI-orchestrated digital experiences.

Uniform noted that it was recognized as a Visionary in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms and referenced growing analyst attention around agentic CMS infrastructure.

The company believes content management is evolving beyond storage and delivery toward automation, orchestration and AI-driven decision-making workflows.

Scout is currently available to Uniform customers, with a product demonstration scheduled for June 3.
