Trust3 AI has announced its intent to extend its Unified Trust Layer to NVIDIA NeMo, an end-to-end platform for building and deploying custom generative AI models and agents. The planned integration aims to give enterprises centralized governance over AI agents built on NeMo without requiring separate control systems.
As organizations move AI workloads from experimentation into production, governance and visibility challenges are emerging as key barriers. Enterprises increasingly struggle to track which agents are active, what data they can access, and how their actions can be audited across complex AI environments.
Trust3 AI is positioning its Unified Trust Layer as a solution to a growing enterprise challenge: governance of AI agents in production environments. While model capabilities continue to advance rapidly, organizations are increasingly constrained by a lack of visibility and control over agent behavior.
The planned integration with NVIDIA NeMo is intended to embed governance directly beneath AI agents, ensuring that security and compliance policies are enforced at the point of action.
The proposed integration focuses on enforcing controls at runtime rather than after execution. This includes monitoring agent identity, data access, tool usage, and decision-making pathways in real time.
Key capabilities include agent discovery across deployments, including unmanaged or “shadow” AI systems, and enforcing purpose-bound access control (PBAC), where permissions are dynamically tied to declared intent rather than static roles.
The Unified Trust Layer is designed to capture end-to-end AI activity, including prompts, retrievals, tool calls, and data interactions. This enables enterprises to reconstruct and review agent behavior for debugging, compliance, and audit purposes.
The system also aims to generate audit evidence aligned with regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, supporting enterprise governance requirements for AI systems.
The integration is intended to work alongside existing safeguards within NVIDIA NeMo, including tools such as NeMo Guardrails. Rather than replacing these mechanisms, the Unified Trust Layer is designed to provide an additional, independent governance layer spanning multiple frameworks and environments.
Trust3 AI was founded by engineers behind widely used open-source governance projects, including Apache Ranger and Apache Atlas. Its broader platform strategy focuses on unifying agent governance, access control, and metadata intelligence across clouds, frameworks, and data sources.
The planned integration between Trust3 AI and NVIDIA reflects a broader industry shift toward embedding governance directly into AI execution environments.
