Preparing for the Next Wave of AI with Data Trust and Accountability

Qlik Connect 2026 arrives at a pivotal moment when AI expectations have evolved from experimental pilots to operational necessities. The event explores how organizations can build the data foundation required for AI to deliver consistent, trustworthy outcomes. Key themes include shifting from insight generation to governed action, closing the loop between analytics and business systems, and addressing the requirements for transparency and auditability in agentic environments.

Newly announced speakers bring deep expertise to the conversation:

Jason Del Rey, founder of The Aisle and a longtime technology and retail correspondent, will share insights on AI’s impact on commerce and emerging business models.

Dr. Rumman Chowdhury, founder and CEO of Humane Intelligence and former leader of Twitter’s ML Ethics, Transparency, and Accountability team, will address ethical, explainable, and accountable AI practices.

Together with Qlik Chief Strategy Officer James Fisher, they will examine near- and long-term AI opportunities, with audience interaction to explore practical strategies for data professionals.

The keynote lineup also features previously announced speaker Jesse Cole, Founder of Fans First Entertainment and Owner of the Savannah Bananas, alongside customer-led sessions sharing real-world lessons on data strategy as the cornerstone of AI-driven success.

“AI is moving from an interesting capability to an operational expectation, and the moment it touches real decisions, trust becomes a hard requirement, not a slogan,” said Mike Capone, CEO of Qlik. “At Qlik Connect, we will focus on how organizations make their data work for AI so they can move faster while staying transparent, auditable, and in control as agentic automation becomes part of everyday work.”

“Qlik Connect is where we pressure-test what’s next through three lenses: what’s changing in our operations, what accountability requires, and how to close the loop from insight to action in the systems we run,” said Mark Green, Head of Data, Analytics and Insight, South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. “We leave with practical steps we can implement now, and a clear path to be ready for what’s coming next.”

The conference program includes:

Keynotes and industry perspectives on AI’s transformation of business models, decision-making, and customer expectations.

Strategy sessions led by James Fisher outlining near- and long-term enterprise planning.

Customer sessions and technical breakouts on implementation, governance, and measurable outcomes.

Product and roadmap previews of Qlik’s agentic capabilities and MCP-based interoperability for governed action.
