Prophet Security, a pioneer in agentic AI for Security Operations Centers (SOCs), announced on July 30, 2025, a $30 million Series A funding round led by Accel, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures. The investment will accelerate the expansion of Prophet’s Agentic AI SOC Platform, which automates detection engineering, investigations, threat hunting, and incident response, addressing critical SOC challenges like alert overload and manual processes.

  • Prophet Security raises $30M in Series A, led by Accel, with Bain Capital Ventures.

  • Expands Agentic AI SOC Platform with Prophet AI Threat Hunter and Detection Advisor.

  • Automates SOC workflows, reducing response times by 10x and false positives by 96%.

  • Platform has conducted over 1M investigations, saving 360,000 hours of manual work.

  • Supports high-tech, manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare industries.

  • Aligns with MITRE ATT&CK® framework for enhanced detection and response.

Transforming Security Operations

Prophet Security’s Agentic AI SOC Platform tackles long-standing SOC pain points, including alert fatigue, siloed tools, and slow response times. Unlike traditional SOAR platforms that rely on static playbooks, Prophet’s platform uses autonomous AI agents to streamline the entire SOC lifecycle. “Our Agentic AI SOC Platform addresses both challenges by automating manual, repetitive tasks in security operations with speed, accuracy, and explainability,” said Kamal Shah, CEO and co-founder. The platform’s privacy-first architecture ensures customer data is not used to train LLMs, addressing data leakage concerns.

The platform now includes three key components:

  • Prophet AI SOC Analyst: Autonomously triages, investigates, and responds to alerts at machine speed, cutting investigation times by over 90% (from 30 minutes to under 3 minutes).

  • Prophet AI Threat Hunter: Generates hypotheses and conducts proactive threat hunting across environments, enhancing early threat detection.

  • Prophet AI Detection Advisor: Analyzes telemetry to identify detection gaps, tune rules, and provide MITRE ATT&CK-aligned recommendations.

Real-World Impact

Prophet AI SOC Analyst has performed over 1 million investigations, saving 360,000 hours of manual effort and delivering 10x faster response times with 96% fewer false positives. Eric Wille, CISO at Cabinet Works, reported reducing alert volume from 33,200 to six actionable alerts, enabling a small team to operate with the efficiency of a larger one. Tushar Jain, EVP at Docker, noted, “With the recent release of Threat Hunter and growing integration with our systems, we see a clear path to faster response times, reduced noise, and a more focused security team.”

Investor Confidence

“What stood out to us about Prophet wasn’t just the technical ambition, but the real-world traction,” said Eric Wolford, Partner at Accel. “It’s rare to see a security company ship this much, this fast, with this level of clarity.” The $30M funding builds on an $11M seed round in April 2024, led by Bain Capital Ventures, bringing total funding to $41M. The investment will drive platform development and go-to-market efforts, with plans to expand modules for additional SOC workflows.

Industry Context

Prophet’s emergence aligns with a 2025 Deloitte forecast predicting 40% of large enterprises will adopt agentic AI in SOCs by year-end, shifting from rule-based automation to reasoning-driven systems. The platform’s ability to integrate with existing tools (SIEM, EDR, cloud platforms) via read-only API access ensures seamless deployment, as demonstrated by early adopters in high-tech, financial services, and healthcare.

Prophet Security’s AI-driven approach positions it as a leader in the evolving cybersecurity landscape, empowering SOC teams to focus on strategic tasks while countering AI-powered threats with speed and precision.
