Oracle and Google Cloud have announced a significant expansion of their strategic partnership, aimed at providing joint customers with advanced methods to operationalize artificial intelligence across enterprise data. A central component of this collaboration is the introduction of the Oracle AI Database Agent for Gemini Enterprise. This integration provides Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud customers with a streamlined interface to interact with their data using natural language, simplifying complex data queries and accelerating the deployment of agentic AI.

Quick Intel

  • Natural Language Interaction: The Oracle AI Database Agent for Gemini Enterprise enables users to query Oracle data using everyday language instead of SQL.

  • Agentic AI Enablement: The partnership allows for the creation of intelligent agents that can access, analyze, and act on governed enterprise data.

  • Expanded Regional Reach: Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud is now available in 15 global regions, with more planned in the next 12 months.

  • Enhanced Data Integration: New capabilities include OCI GoldenGate for real-time migrations and seamless Autonomous AI Lakehouse integration with Google BigQuery.

  • Security and Governance: AI is applied directly at the database layer to maintain strict controls and prevent the exposure of sensitive data.

  • Zero Data Duplication: The system interprets requests and delivers insights directly from the source without the need to move or copy data.

Bridging the Gap Between AI and Enterprise Data

The integration of Gemini Enterprise with Oracle’s database performance is designed to help organizations move from data storage to actionable insights. By applying AI models directly where the data resides, businesses can improve accuracy and strengthen security protocols.

"We're making it easier for customers to use natural language to access, understand, and act on enterprise data by combining the Gemini Enterprise experience with Oracle's industry-leading database performance, security, and governance," said Nathan Thomas, senior vice president, product management, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. "By applying AI directly to enterprise data at the database layer, customers can improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and use models more efficiently without exposing sensitive data or adding complexity. Together, we're making it easier for our customers to power agentic AI with trusted business data."

Empowering Developers and Business Users

The Oracle AI Database Agent, available in the Google Cloud Marketplace, allows non-technical users to ask complex business questions—such as analyzing revenue trends—and receive data-driven answers immediately. Furthermore, it provides developers with the tools to connect Oracle data with other AI utilities within Google’s ecosystem to automate visualization and extraction tasks.

"To deliver real impact from agentic AI, customers need a simple, trusted way to interact with their valuable business data using intelligent agents such as the Oracle AI Database Agent," said Satish Thomas, vice president, applied AI & platform ecosystem, Google Cloud. "By making this agent accessible through Gemini Enterprise, we're giving customers greater flexibility to apply AI to data stored in Oracle databases and turn that data into meaningful business value."

Real-World Adoption and Scalability

Global organizations are already leveraging these multicloud capabilities to modernize their operations. For instance, Worldline uses the platform to support real-time payment processing at a global scale, requiring high throughput and low latency.

"The Oracle AI Database Agent represents an important advancement in how we use AI with enterprise data," said Yuto Yoneyama, CEO, AI Shift. "With Gemini Enterprise, our users can move from writing SQL to asking questions in natural language to get answers grounded in trusted enterprise data. That helps us speed development, improve the quality of results, and make faster, more informed decisions without compromising governance and control."

Arni Smit, director, software engineering, integration and payment platform, Worldline, added, "Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud gives us the scalability, resilience, and security capabilities we require to support real-time transaction processing at global scale by delivering the power of Oracle Exadata within Google Cloud."

Global Infrastructure and Future Capabilities

To support increasing demand, Oracle has expanded the availability of these services to 15 regions including Tokyo, Mumbai, London, and Ashburn. Upcoming features like OCI GoldenGate will further simplify real-time data movement and integration with Google BigQuery for near real-time analytics.

The continued collaboration ensures that enterprises can maintain a unified lakehouse architecture, reducing data movement costs while maximizing the utility of their analytical and operational systems across both cloud providers.
