Legion Intelligence today announced a major product expansion designed to make applied AI operational for national security, launching Mission Packs and Centurion III at SOF Week 2026, the annual gathering of the global special operations community. Centurion III is an ultra-small form factor edge AI system for denied, degraded, intermittent, limited (DDIL) environments.
Centurion III built on Intel AI PC technology; supports local inference with open-weight models (Gemma 4, Nemotron 3, GPT-OSS 20B).
When connected, routes to frontier models including OpenAI GPT-5.5 and Google Gemini 3.1 Pro.
Centurion has supported Army staff operations including with XVIII Airborne Corps G2 during Scarlet Dragon 26-01.
Partners include Intel, Rancher Government Solutions, HPE, Google, and NVIDIA.

Legion is introducing Centurion III, an ultra-small form factor that brings governed AI into a laptop-class footprint at the edge. Built on Intel AI PC technology, Centurion III extends Legion's edge AI architecture into environments where size, power, setup time, and local performance determine whether AI is practical in the field.
When connected, Centurion routes to the latest customer-approved frontier models, including OpenAI GPT-5.5 and Google Gemini 3.1 Pro. In degraded or disconnected conditions, Centurion automatically shifts to locally hosted models, including open-weight models like Google Gemma 4, NVIDIA Nemotron 3, and OpenAI GPT-OSS 20B, preserving workflows and governance. For users at the edge, the same capabilities continue when reachback is unavailable, including document exploitation, intelligence summarization, planning, local retrieval, geospatial context, collaboration, and audit logging.
