IgniteAgent, a core feature, enables conversation-based workflows, orchestrating both Instructure’s native AI and partner tools via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This extends the Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) framework, ensuring seamless integration with partners like Anthropic and OpenAI. Educators can solve complex problems with a single prompt, enhancing efficiency across the Instructure ecosystem.
IgniteAI targets time-intensive tasks such as grading, content creation, and student management, delivering measurable benefits. Beyond IgniteAI, Instructure has introduced 18 new solutions, including redesigned Canvas dashboards, differentiation tags for personalized instruction, and enhanced analytics in Mastery. Accessibility improvements ensure WCAG 2.2 AA compliance across Canvas LMS, Studio, Catalog, and Impact, reinforcing equitable access.
