Infosys has announced the expansion of its strategic collaboration with DNB Bank ASA, Norway’s largest bank, to modernize the bank’s financial crime operations using the NICE Actimize X-Sight Enterprise platform. The initiative aims to transform DNB’s fragmented legacy systems into a unified, AI-driven and cloud-native financial crime management platform that improves detection accuracy, strengthens compliance and enhances operational efficiency.

As part of the engagement, Infosys will serve as the systems integration partner, leading the modernization of DNB’s financial crime technology landscape through enterprise architecture design, platform integration and large-scale data migration.

Building a Unified Financial Crime Management Platform

The modernization initiative will consolidate several critical financial crime functions onto a single SaaS-based platform with unified enterprise case management capabilities. These functions include customer and payment screening, transaction monitoring, fraud detection and customer due diligence.

By integrating NICE Actimize’s X-Sight Enterprise platform, Infosys aims to help DNB create a more scalable and intelligence-led approach to anti-money laundering and fraud prevention. The platform is designed to support secure data integration, advanced analytics and intelligent automation across financial crime operations.

The collaboration reflects a broader trend across the banking industry, where financial institutions are increasingly adopting AI-powered compliance and fraud management platforms to respond to evolving regulatory and cybersecurity demands.

AI-Driven Detection and Investigation Capabilities

Infosys will implement NICE Actimize’s anti-money laundering and fraud solutions to provide DNB with a holistic view of customer risk and improve the detection of complex financial crime patterns.

The AI-driven capabilities of the X-Sight platform are expected to enhance automation across monitoring, detection and investigation workflows. This includes enabling intelligent orchestration, AI-assisted investigations and actionable insights that can help accelerate response times to regulatory requirements and emerging fraud risks.

Elin Sandnes, COO and Group Executive Vice President Technology & Services, DNB, said, "Protecting customers and the integrity of the financial system requires us to continuously raise the bar on detection and investigation. By working closely with Infosys and leveraging NICE Actimize's X–Sight Enterprise platform, we are enhancing our ability to detect, investigate, and prevent complex financial crime more effectively, while supporting our long–term digital transformation and regulatory compliance objectives."

Strengthening Cloud-Native Financial Crime Operations

Financial institutions globally are increasingly shifting toward cloud-native and AI-powered financial crime platforms to manage rising fraud complexity and evolving compliance obligations.

Craig Costigan, Chief Executive Officer, NICE Actimize, said "Financial institutions globally are seeking more intelligent, cloud–native approaches to combat evolving financial crime. Through this collaboration with Infosys, our X–Sight Enterprise platform's AI-driven capabilities will help protect DNB and its customers from growing fraud and financial crimes, while boosting operational efficiency and reducing costs."

The partnership positions Infosys as a strategic transformation and systems integration partner supporting DNB’s long-term digital modernization strategy. The unified operating model is designed to improve consistency across jurisdictions while enabling faster and more intelligent decision-making across financial crime operations.

Accelerating AI-Led Banking Transformation

The collaboration also highlights the growing role of AI in banking operations, particularly in risk management, compliance and fraud prevention. By consolidating anti-money laundering and fraud capabilities into a centralized enterprise cloud platform, DNB aims to strengthen operational resilience and future-proof its financial crime controls.

Dennis Gada, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Banking & Financial Services, Infosys, said, "Legacy systems are struggling to keep pace with the rapid evolution of financial crime. By consolidating anti–money laundering and fraud capabilities onto an AI–enabled enterprise cloud platform, we're helping DNB Bank ASA move from fragmented controls to a unified, intelligence–led operating model. This allows the bank to detect earlier, investigate smarter, and respond with greater consistency across jurisdictions. This modernization program reinforces our role as the strategic system integration and transformation lead, bringing intelligent operations to unlock AI value at scale across monitoring, detection, and investigations."

As financial crime threats continue to evolve, banks are increasingly investing in AI-powered cybersecurity, compliance and fraud management systems that can deliver real-time intelligence and scalable operational efficiency. Through this collaboration, Infosys, DNB and NICE Actimize aim to strengthen financial crime prevention while supporting long-term digital transformation goals.
