HERE Technologies and Esri have signed a three-year agreement to jointly develop AI-powered geospatial analytics and visualization solutions. The expanded collaboration aims to help organizations integrate, analyze, and operationalize location data more efficiently within AI-driven workflows, enabling better decision-making across industries including transportation, logistics, automotive, public sector, and high technology.
As enterprises increasingly explore artificial intelligence and agentic workflows, the ability to access, integrate, and analyze large volumes of location data has become a growing priority. Through the new agreement, HERE Technologies and Esri will combine their technologies to simplify geospatial analytics within enterprise AI environments.
The collaboration builds on more than two decades of partnership between the companies and is designed to help organizations leverage trusted location intelligence directly within ArcGIS-based workflows.
The partnership integrates HERE's mapping, traffic, and mobility data with Esri's ArcGIS platform to provide organizations with a unified environment for geospatial analysis and visualization.
By bringing together authoritative location content and advanced spatial analytics, engineering teams and AI systems can more effectively analyze both live and historical geospatial data to support planning, operational improvements, and business decision-making.
The companies aim to reduce the complexity of integrating location data into enterprise AI initiatives by enabling organizations to work with AI-ready geospatial analytics inside existing ArcGIS environments.
The combined capabilities are intended to support emerging AI applications and agentic workflows, allowing businesses to transform large-scale geospatial datasets into actionable operational insights.
The collaboration also builds upon the HERE GIS Data Suite, introduced in 2025 as a curated dataset specifically designed for ArcGIS environments.
Serving as the foundational data layer for the partnership, the GIS Data Suite enables organizations to access high-quality location data that supports advanced analytics and AI-powered decision-making across enterprise use cases.
“For over two decades, HERE has partnered with Esri to deliver trusted geospatial insights,” said Chris Handley, Senior Vice President of Product Management at HERE Technologies. “As organizations explore new AI use cases, we can help them more easily access and analyze location data, enabling faster insights and more informed decisions.”
“Organizations are looking for analytics solutions that connect authoritative data, intuitive mapping, and scalable decision support,” said Richard Cooke, Corporate Director of Global Business Development at Esri. “By bringing together HERE’s trusted location data and the analytical power of ArcGIS, we will help customers extend what they can do within existing workflows and support emerging AI applications.”
The partnership reflects increasing enterprise demand for AI-enabled geospatial analytics that combine trusted data with scalable visualization and analytical tools.
By integrating location intelligence directly into enterprise workflows, HERE and Esri aim to help organizations move more efficiently from raw geospatial data to actionable insights that improve planning, operations, and strategic decision-making.
The expanded partnership between HERE Technologies and Esri underscores the growing importance of AI-ready geospatial analytics in enterprise digital transformation. By combining trusted location data with advanced GIS capabilities, the companies aim to help organizations simplify AI adoption, strengthen analytics workflows, and unlock greater value from location intelligence across industries.
