EnterpriseDB, the leading sovereign data and AI company, today announced continued enterprise traction and industry recognition for EDB Postgres AI, as organizations move away from assembled data stacks to make transactional, analytical, and agentic workloads function as one governed system. Announced from Wilmington, Delaware, as agentic workloads move from pilot to production, enterprises describe what it takes to become their own governed AI and data platform, not just a customer of one.

  • EDB Postgres AI gains momentum as customers move agentic workloads from pilot to production to become own governed AI and data platform.
  • 95% of enterprises intend to become their own AI and data platforms within three years, but only 13% are there today.
  • PAC 2000A Conad rebuilt data foundation on EDB PG AI to support €8B retail, 1,600 stores, 7,000 devices with NIS2-aligned availability.
  • Korea's sovereign AI market backed by $735B investment driving demand for hybrid and on-premises capabilities for regulated sectors.
  • Growing roster includes Industrial Bank of Korea, Shinhan EZ Insurance, NTT East, MNTN, Euronext FX, Kyobo Book Centre.
  • Recognized with DBTA Readers' Choice Award, BIG Sustainability Awards for up to 87% emission reduction, and Thinkers360 awards.

Enterprises Want to Control Their Future and Become Their Own Platform

EDB PG AI is gaining traction on both sides of that transition: running the systems enterprises depend on today and establishing the controlled foundation for how they will operate with AI tomorrow. New customer and partner stories across Europe and Asia show that architecture moving from strategy into operation.

Most organizations already have the technologies required for AI; far fewer have made them function as one governed system. For agents, that difference determines whether they can act on live data under enterprise policy or remain trapped in pilots behind another layer of integration.

"Most organizations already have the technologies required for AI; far fewer have made them function as one governed system. For agents, that difference determines whether they can act on live data under enterprise policy or remain trapped in pilots behind another layer of integration," said Kevin Dallas, CEO of EDB.

Running the always-on infrastructure behind €8 billion in retail: PAC 2000A Conad rebuilt its data foundation on EDB PG AI with EDB and Uno Informatica to support more than 1,600 stores and 7,000 simultaneously connected devices. The distributed architecture provides continuous availability and NIS2-aligned backup and recovery. PAC 2000A Conad will now extend that foundation into additional application areas before introducing AI agents operating in sovereign mode.

"The choice of EDB Postgres AI was decisive. But more than the technology, it was how we approached the change together that made the difference," said Luca Cibruscola, chief information officer, PAC 2000A Conad.

Building for Sovereign AI Market in Korea

Korea's sovereign AI ambitions are backed by more than $735 billion in public- and private-sector investment, while the AI Basic Act has established formal governance requirements for AI deployment in the country's highest-stakes sectors. C Platform, a technology distributor with visibility across dozens of Korean enterprise accounts, sees a consistent pattern: regulated organizations demand hybrid and on-premises capabilities, while fragmented data environments keep AI projects from production even when the business case is already approved.

"Customers are eager to adopt AI, but also increasingly cautious about data security and control. EDB Postgres AI lets us propose operational data, analytical workloads, and the AI foundation from a single, integrated perspective," said Jaeseong Seo, AI Solutions Business Team, C Platform.

These enterprises join a growing global roster running mission-critical and analytical workloads on EDB PG AI, including the Industrial Bank of Korea, Shinhan EZ Insurance, NTT East, MNTN, Euronext FX, and Kyobo Book Centre.

Industry recognition includes DBTA Readers' Choice Award for database performance, BIG Sustainability Awards for study finding up to 87% data-center emissions reduction, Thinkers360 Thought Leading Company of the Year, and Thinkers360 Innovations for Good for intelligence per watt framework.

About EDB

EDB Postgres AI is the sovereign data and AI platform for the agentic enterprise. Built on Postgres, the world's leading open source database, EDB PG AI unifies transactional, analytical and AI workloads in a single architecture, eliminating the data movement, ETL and operational fragmentation that slow enterprises down. With governance enforced at the data layer and the flexibility to deploy on-premises, in hybrid environments or across clouds, enterprises operationalize their data and AI on infrastructure they own and control - reaching production-ready sovereign AI in weeks, not months.
