Dynatrace has announced major updates at its Perform 2026 conference, transforming observability into an active, intelligent control layer for cloud-native and AI-driven software delivery. The enhancements unify frontend, backend, AI, database, cloud, and mobile telemetry into a seamless developer experience, enabling real-time guidance, optimization, and protection while supporting faster releases and safer experimentation in production.
As agentic AI and cloud-native architectures drive unprecedented release velocity, traditional observability falls short in providing active control. Dynatrace addresses this by building on its AI-native foundation—Grail™, Smartscape, and Dynatrace Intelligence—to deliver a developer-centric platform. Teams gain real-time visibility and automated actions across the full stack, enabling confident experimentation, risk management, and stability at scale in dynamic, AI-assisted environments.
The updated frontend experience consolidates RUM data for deeper insights into user behavior and performance. New apps, including Error Inspector, accelerate root-cause analysis of frontend issues. For mobile, enhanced diagnostics provide precise context for ANRs and crashes, reducing debugging time and improving app reliability across platforms.
Through the acquisition of DevCycle, Dynatrace introduces feature-level runtime controls that combine with Dynatrace Intelligence to validate behavior continuously, mitigate risks, and automate responses from development to production. This shifts observability from passive monitoring to proactive governance, with integration efforts already progressing and additional capabilities planned.
Unified tracing spans AI interactions, application services, databases, and cloud infrastructure, offering clarity amid rising trace complexity from AI workloads. This end-to-end view supports developers and agents in reasoning about live system behavior and taking targeted actions without manual intervention.
Agentic workflows, powered by the Dynatrace MCP Server, allow developers and AI agents to act on real-time observability data safely. Support for leading models and platforms—including Claude, AWS Bedrock AgentCore, and Azure AI Foundry—ensures secure automation across multi-cloud and multi-AI environments.
Expanded Live Debugger support for IDEs like Windsurf and Cursor brings instant debugging directly into developers’ workflows, reducing context-switching and accelerating troubleshooting.
