DeepL, a global AI product and research company, has appointed Gonçalo Gaiolas as Chief Product Officer, effective October 1, 2025. With expertise in product development and cross-functional leadership, Gaiolas will advance DeepL's Language AI solutions for enterprises and guide its entry into the agentic AI market, building on the recent launch of DeepL Agent.

Gaiolas' appointment supports DeepL's growth, from translation tools to autonomous AI agents. Most recently, Gaiolas served as Chief Product and Technology Officer at SoSafe, a B2B cybersecurity firm, where he expanded global reach and revenue. Previously, he spent over a decade at OutSystems, leading product strategy for custom systems. His advisory roles with startups highlight his growth navigation skills. "I was immediately drawn to DeepL's mission of addressing mission-critical business challenges with AI," said Gaiolas.
