Debuts Dataminr Intel Agents—a novel Agentic AI capability that autonomously generates critical context for real-time events, threats, and risks

Dataminr, one of the world's leading AI companies, today unveiled its Agentic AI roadmap, marking a major leap forward in the development of intelligent, autonomous AI agents for enhanced real-time decision-making. Intel Agents, the company's first Agentic AI capability, task AI agents to autonomously generate critical context as events, risks, and threats unfold. This AI innovation introduces a new generation of AI-powered real-time information that enables private and public sector organizations to supercharge their abilities to more effectively navigate a world of constant change—revolutionizing how Dataminr users rapidly understand, contextualize, and respond to unexpected events.

"Intel Agents transform the category of real-time information, providing our clients with the surrounding context needed to respond faster and more effectively to unfolding events, risks, and threats," said Ted Bailey, Founder and CEO of Dataminr.

Intel Agents build on top of Dataminr's 2024 release of ReGenAI, a breakthrough form of Generative AI that automatically regenerates live event briefs in real-time as events unfold. Intel Agents augment ReGenAI event briefs with a new layer of real-time context that is uniquely made possible by Agentic AI. As events unfold, Intel Agents work continuously and collaboratively, analyzing new emerging developments as they happen, and updating the surrounding context that clients need.

"When Dataminr's AI Platform detects the earliest indications of events, risks, and threats, Intel Agents are tasked with autonomously determining the additional context that's needed, where to look for it, and how to best synthesize what they find into concise text. The unique decision-making capabilities of Agentic AI, powered by Dataminr's proprietary LLMs and AI Platform, enable new innovations that were never before possible," added Alex Jaimes, Dataminr's Chief AI Officer.

Intel Agents are powered solely by Dataminr's internally developed and operated LLMs—all trained on Dataminr's proprietary 15-year data and event archive. Intel Agents seamlessly fuse relevant information from external public sources with rich insights from internal data sources, including the related historical and current real-time events only available within Dataminr's AI Platform. Dataminr's unmatched event archive is relied on not only to train the LLMs powering Intel Agents, but also to enrich the context of real-time events, threats, and risks in powerful ways.

The first deployment of Intel Agents will supercharge Dataminr Pulse for Cyber Risk, Dataminr's cybersecurity solution, which is purpose-built to help CISOs and their teams manage digital and third-party risk, identify vulnerabilities, and respond to cyber-physical threats. Intel Agents are currently being piloted in Pulse for Cyber Risk, generating context-enhanced real-time threat intelligence. The new capability eliminates the need for laborious manual research and represents a foundational shift in how cybersecurity teams can leverage AI for real-time decision making, response, and triage. In the months ahead, Dataminr will expand Intel Agents across its platform, including Dataminr First Alert for Public Sector and Dataminr Pulse for Corporate Security solutions.

The Agentic AI Roadmap

Dataminr's Agentic AI roadmap includes pioneering new capabilities that will continue to define the future of AI-powered real-time information.

Intel Agents for Client-Tailored Context

The next phase of Dataminr's Agentic AI roadmap will be Client-Tailored Contextenabling Intel Agents to incorporate client-specific insights into Dataminr's ReGenAI dynamic event briefs and surrounding context. By tailoring Dataminr's Gen AI to a client's unique operations and risk profile, this novel Agentic AI capability will create real-time information automatically customized for each individual client.

PreGenAI

In 2026, Dataminr's AI innovation will take another leap forward with the launch of PreGenAIAgentic AI and Gen AI-powered Predictive Intelligence. This new capability will predict possible future scenarios and automatically generate these predictions for clients as events, threats, and risks unfold. PreGenAI will enable clients to plan and respond proactively, rather than reactively, to understand the potential trajectories and effects of complex developments as they evolve in real time. Dataminr's event archive—containing the unique arc of how every historical event transpired over the last 15 years—serves as the foundational data asset for training LLMs to power this trailblazing AI capability.

Agentic AI Built on More Than a Decade of AI Innovation

This milestone continues Dataminr's legacy of cutting-edge AI innovation. Dataminr first pioneered Multi-Modal Fusion AI for discovering the earliest indications of emerging events, risks, and threats within public data at an unmatched speed, scope, and comprehensiveness. The company has built and refined one of the most robust AI and data infrastructures—analyzing billions of public data inputs spanning text, image, video, audio, and  sensor data, across 220+ countries and territories, and 150+ languages. It would take 30,000 people working 24/7 to process only one percent of just the text data Dataminr ingests every day.

Dataminr's AI products have always been ahead of the curve, with LLMs and Gen AI first integrated into its products for event description in 2020, long before the recent Gen AI "boom." In 2024, Dataminr established itself as a leader in the field of Gen AI with the launch of ReGenAI, a breakthrough form of Gen AI that automatically regenerates live event briefs in real time as events unfold. All of Dataminr's trailblazing AI capabilities—spanning Multi-Modal Fusion AI, Gen AI, and Agentic AI—are powered by internally developed and operated AI models and LLMs. These proprietary AI models are only made possible by training on the company's unique 15-year data and event archive.

Explore the Innovation

Intel Agents are currently available in private beta for a select group of Dataminr customers. General availability is expected in early Q3 2025. Future updates on the release roadmap, including Client-Tailored Context and PreGenAI, will be announced in the coming months.
