Dassault Systèmes today launched Virtual Companions, a groundbreaking category of AI-powered industrial experts integrated into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Building on the 3D UNIV+RSES vision announced last year, these companions—Aura, Leo, and Marie—embody decades of industrial knowledge and know-how, empowering users through natural conversations to help, teach, reason, and orchestrate actions across the full product and service lifecycle.

  • Virtual Companions represent a new way of working in 3D UNIV+RSES, grounded in science, Industry World Models, multi-scale simulation, and validated physics/materials science.
  • Aura orchestrates knowledge across requirements, projects, and changes to navigate complexity and maintain alignment.
  • Leo solves cross-disciplinary engineering challenges from design through production.
  • Marie applies deep scientific expertise in materials, chemistry, formulations, and therapies to explore complex phenomena and breakthrough hypotheses.
  • The 3DEXPERIENCE agentic platform scales to manage thousands of Virtual Companions and human collaborators asynchronously while ensuring sovereignty, traceability, accuracy, and trust.
  • Aura is available now on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform; Leo and Marie will launch in 2026.
  • Virtual Companions understand user intent, reason over industrial contexts, simulate outcomes before physical realization, and drive faster innovation cycles with reduced risk.

Transforming Human-AI Collaboration in Industry

Traditional industrial processes struggle with complexity, fragmented knowledge, and long validation cycles. Virtual Companions address these by fusing advanced AI with Dassault Systèmes’ deep domain models and simulation capabilities. They go beyond large language models by reasoning with physics-based world models, orchestrating multi-disciplinary actions, and ensuring outputs are traceable, compliant, and trustworthy.

“In the Generative Economy, industry produces knowledge and know-how that generates objects: this is where true value lies,” said Pascal Daloz, CEO, Dassault Systèmes. “The time has come to put knowledge to work by creating a new kind of teamwork between humans and Virtual Companions to make the invisible visible and the impossible possible before anything physically exists, accelerating innovation cycles while protecting the most critical assets.”

The companions enable real-time co-creation environments where humans and AI collaborate safely at scale—across disciplines, organizations, and the full lifecycle from conception to regeneration. This approach supports industries in accelerating sustainable innovation while safeguarding intellectual property and regulatory compliance.

Pascal Daloz introduced Virtual Companions during 3DEXPERIENCE World 2026. A replay of the general session, including live demonstrations, is available online.

Virtual Companions can be applied across all Dassault Systèmes brands and industries, delivering mission-critical outcomes through trusted, explainable AI collaboration.
