The security of data within autonomous AI workflows is becoming a critical focus for enterprise collaboration. Cyera, an AI and data security company, has announced an expanded collaboration with Microsoft to secure the agentic AI era. The integration deepens data intelligence for customers of Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra, and Copilot Studio, providing a data-centric foundation to identify and protect sensitive information across multicloud ecosystems and AI agent workflows.

  • Cyera is expanding its collaboration with Microsoft to secure agentic AI.

  • Integrations now cover Microsoft Purview, Sentinel, Entra, and Copilot Studio.

  • Cyera provides precise data classification for Purview across multi-cloud data stores.

  • AI Guardian integrates with Entra Agent ID to manage and secure AI agent identities.

  • Real-time data policy enforcement is added to Microsoft Copilot Studio agents.

  • Cyera's platform is available through the generally available Microsoft Security Store.

Enhancing Microsoft Purview with Multi-Cloud Data Intelligence

A key part of the collaboration is a new integration between Cyera and Microsoft Purview. Powered by Cyera's AI-driven data discovery and classification, this integration provides context-rich data security signals within the Purview Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) module. Crucially, it expands visibility beyond the Microsoft data estate; for example, Cyera shares data security insights for Snowflake data stores directly within Purview. This gives security teams a unified view of sensitive data across multiple clouds, strengthening risk posture and enabling confident AI adoption.

Securing AI Agent Identities and Workflows

As AI agents become operational, securing their access to data is paramount. Cyera's AI Guardian product now integrates with Microsoft Entra Agent ID, a framework for securing AI agent access. Cyera incorporates these agent identities into its AI Asset Inventory, providing unified visibility and security posture management. It can even identify unregistered agents and add them to the Entra registry. Furthermore, Cyera has integrated AI Guardian with Microsoft Copilot Studio. This delivers real-time, data-aware enforcement, allowing customers to automatically identify and govern sensitive data within Copilot agent workflows, blocking or auditing actions like file sharing based on data policies.

A Unified Foundation for the AI Era

These integrations create a cohesive security fabric for AI-driven enterprises. By combining Cyera's data context with Microsoft's identity and security operations platforms, organizations gain a comprehensive understanding of how data is accessed by both human and AI identities. “Our expanded integrations with Microsoft... reflect this evolution, giving organizations a unified view of how data is accessed by what identities, and how it is used across the business,” said Jason Clark, Chief Strategy Officer at Cyera. Vasu Jakkal, CVP of Microsoft Security, added, “By combining Cyera’s data and AI security insights with Microsoft’s native data security... we’re creating a future where organizations can anticipate risk, orchestrate defenses dynamically, and protect both human and AI identities at scale.”

This deepened partnership signifies a mature approach to AI security, moving beyond model safety to focus on the data that powers AI and the agents that act upon it. It provides the critical controls needed for enterprises to innovate with AI at scale while maintaining data security and compliance.

About Cyera

Cyera is the world’s leading AI-native data security platform. Its platform gives organizations a complete view of where their data lives, how it’s used, and how to keep it safe, so they can reduce risk and unlock the full value of their data, wherever it is. Backed by more than $1.3 billion in funding from top-tier investors including Accel, Coatue, Cyberstarts, Georgian, Lightspeed, and Sequoia, Cyera’s unified data security platform helps businesses discover, secure, and leverage their most valuable asset - data - and eliminate blind spots, cut alert noise, and protect sensitive information across the cloud, SaaS, databases, AI ecosystems, and on-premise environments. Recent innovations like Cyera’s Omni DLP extend this platform with adaptive, AI-native data loss protection, bringing real-time intelligence and contextual understanding to how data moves and is used across the enterprise.
