Cognizant has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to strengthen enterprise AI adoption by bringing enhanced Gemini Enterprise capabilities to organizations worldwide. The collaboration combines jointly delivered AI solutions, reusable AI agents, and Cognizant's Frontier Certified Engineers to help enterprises deploy agentic AI faster while maximizing the value of their Google Cloud AI investments.
Building on the Gemini Enterprise practice announced earlier this year, Cognizant and Google Cloud are expanding their collaboration to help organizations accelerate enterprise AI adoption. The partnership combines jointly delivered AI solutions, reusable AI agents, and certified Frontier Certified Engineers who work directly with client teams to speed up AI implementation and improve business outcomes.
The collaboration focuses on enabling organizations to maximize the value of Google's AI portfolio, including Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience, and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.
A key component of the expanded partnership is Cognizant's Frontier Certified Engineer delivery model. These engineers combine technical expertise with industry knowledge to evaluate existing business workflows, assess AI agents, and deploy production-ready solutions within enterprise environments.
"This partnership reflects exactly what our AI Builder strategy is built to do," said Ravi Kumar S, CEO, Cognizant. "Our Frontier Certified Engineers work directly alongside Google Cloud's teams, solving real problems in production. We have built this capability, proven it inside our own business, and are now bringing it to joint clients at scale."
To strengthen its enterprise AI capabilities, Cognizant is deploying Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace across its global operations. The company is integrating the technologies into software engineering, project delivery, customer support, and agentic workforce solutions.
According to Cognizant, software engineering teams are using Antigravity 2.0 and Gemini Enterprise for code explanation, automated test generation, and legacy application modernization, contributing to software development velocity improvements of up to 30% in internal benchmarks.
The organization is also deploying role-based AI agents capable of automating between 60% and 70% of manual effort across targeted workflows.
Cognizant plans to deploy Gemini Enterprise to 100,000 associates this year and expand that number to 200,000, while certifying at least 10,000 professionals on the platform.
The collaboration has already produced measurable customer outcomes. A leading US communications and entertainment provider modernized its contact center operations using Cognizant and Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience.
The deployment increased first-contact resolution by 17% compared to pre-deployment baselines and enabled nearly one-third of appointment requests to be resolved through AI-powered automation. The AI agents were deployed within three months, followed by more than 500 AI model optimizations during the first year.
"Cognizant is leading by example by integrating Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace across its own global workforce," said Karthik Narain, Chief Product and Business Officer, Google Cloud. "This deep, first-hand experience uniquely positions Cognizant to help our joint customers scale agentic AI solutions and accelerate time-to-value."
As part of the expanded partnership, Cognizant and Google Cloud will jointly bring a portfolio of enterprise AI offerings to market. The solutions are designed to help organizations transition from AI experimentation to measurable business outcomes.
The joint offerings include the Frontier Certified Engineer delivery model, an agentic employee platform for role-based AI deployment, contact center solutions powered by Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience, and rapid AI agent development through Cognizant's Agent Foundry, which has built more than 2,000 AI agents to date.
The companies will initially focus on retail and consumer goods, healthcare and life sciences, communications, media and technology, and financial services, with plans to expand into additional industries.
The expanded partnership highlights the growing enterprise demand for production-ready AI deployments that combine advanced technology with industry expertise. By integrating Gemini Enterprise into its own operations while delivering certified AI engineering services to customers, Cognizant aims to help organizations accelerate AI adoption and generate measurable business value across enterprise environments.
