The strategic partnership between Box and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is entering a new phase, focused squarely on the future of agentic artificial intelligence. This multi-year collaboration is designed to fundamentally change how organizations interact with and extract value from their enterprise content by building powerful, secure AI agents directly into the content management lifecycle.
Box and AWS have signed a multi-year strategic collaboration to advance agentic AI for enterprise content management.
New Box AI agents, powered by Amazon Bedrock, will automate workflows, summarize documents, and generate insights from content.
The partnership introduces advanced multimodal content analysis for text, images, video, and audio via Amazon Nova.
New integrations with Amazon QuickSight, Amazon Q Developer, and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore are now available.
Box will be available in the AWS Marketplace by early 2026, simplifying procurement and deployment.
The collaboration aims to provide a secure, scalable AI foundation, especially for regulated industries.
This agreement builds upon the existing relationship between Box and AWS, introducing a suite of deep technical integrations. The core objective is to help organizations, particularly those in regulated sectors, unlock greater productivity and operational agility from their sensitive data by leveraging AWS's advanced AI services.
Central to this effort are new Box AI agents powered by Amazon Bedrock. These agents are designed to automate complex content-centric workflows. They can summarize lengthy documents, generate FAQs from multiple files, extract metadata for compliance, and create new content directly from enterprise data, all while allowing customization to meet unique business needs.
The collaboration also brings advanced multimodal capabilities to Box AI through Amazon Nova Multimodal Embeddings. This enables the platform to analyze and generate unified insights from a diverse range of content types—including text, images, video, and audio—stored within Box, significantly improving discoverability and automated workflow potential.
Several key integrations are available immediately. A new Amazon QuickSight integration allows users to securely act on and generate insights from Box content directly within the analytics service. Furthermore, the customization of Amazon Q Developer and compatibility with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Kira, and Amazon Strands streamline the development of intelligent applications and ensure seamless orchestration between AI agents and the Box platform.
