Aras announces new services for its InnovatorEdge platform, expanding capabilities in API management, application development, and agentic AI. These additions enable secure, governed integration of PLM data and workflows with external partners, applications, and AI agents while maintaining traceability, permissions, and business context.
Aras, a leader in digital thread solutions for product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering AI, extends its InnovatorEdge platform with new cloud-delivered services. Introduced last year, InnovatorEdge provides governance and API utilities that connect PLM digital threads to external ecosystems securely and contextually.
The new services focus on making Aras Innovator more accessible and extensible for modern use cases involving partners, applications, and AI.
Aras InnovatorEdge API Manager (Edge API) offers a low-code environment to define, secure, and manage APIs. These APIs expose PLM data and digital thread services to external systems or AI agents while enforcing governance rules.
Aras InnovatorEdge App Builder (Edge Builder) provides a development and deployment platform for creating lightweight, task-specific applications. These apps natively consume Edge APIs, enabling rapid customization and publishing for targeted user needs.
Aras InnovatorEdge AI (Edge AI) delivers a suite of tools to build, deploy, run, and govern agentic workflows and AI services across the PLM ecosystem. It supports the creation of intelligent agents that interact with product data in controlled ways.
