Arango has announced the release of Arango Contextual Data Platform 4.0 at NVIDIA GTC. This major update introduces the Contextual Data Layer, a new architectural approach that transforms fragmented enterprise data into a unified, current, and trusted business context for AI agents, assistants, and applications to reason over reliably at production scale.
Enterprises deploying AI agents into operational workflows frequently face fragmented data architectures and brittle pipelines. Reconstructing relationships at inference time often leads to unreliable outputs, traceability issues, and difficulties meeting explainability, responsible AI, and data protection standards.
The Contextual Data Layer solves this by continuously managing business context once at the data level, making it persistently available across AI systems. The Agentic AI Suite eliminates the need for complex, multi-system AI pipelines by automating key components. It coordinates agent and workflow orchestration, automates context modeling with AutoGraph, handles adaptive retrieval via AutoRAG, and provides a unified multi-model foundation across graph, vector, document, key-value, and search capabilities.
Additional tools include Arango Ada for natural language platform interaction and query optimization, Arango AvaCado for product-related questions, Arango AQLizer for translating natural language to optimized AQL queries, and Arango Visualizer for exploring contextual relationships.
Arango AutoGraph automates the creation of contextual knowledge graphs from diverse enterprise data, capturing relationships across entities, systems, and events. The Platform Suite delivers governance, observability, and efficiency with Kubernetes-native deployment, unified management, role-based access control, Prometheus/Grafana integrations, and debugging tools. BYOC support lets organizations use preferred models and runtimes under full control.
Existing ArangoDB users can extend their deployments to support AI applications with these new capabilities, reusing infrastructure for contextual data layers.
