As telecom operators move toward more autonomous and intelligent network operations, the industry is shifting from rule-based automation to AI-driven, outcome-focused systems. Aira Technologies has announced a strategic collaboration with Nokia to integrate its Naavik One platform with Nokia’s MantaRay SMO automation stack, aiming to accelerate the transition toward AI-native, closed-loop network automation.

  • Aira Technologies has partnered with Nokia to advance AI-native telecom network automation.
  • The collaboration integrates Naavik One with Nokia’s MantaRay SMO platform.
  • The goal is to shift operators from script-based automation to outcome-driven network control.
  • The solution enables closed-loop automation with validation and performance correction capabilities.
  • Aira’s Naavik One applications are now available via Nokia’s SMO marketplace.
  • The initiative targets improved performance, reliability, and sustainability in RAN operations.

Moving from Script-Based to Outcome-Driven Automation

Traditional telecom network automation has largely relied on predefined scripts and manual rule configurations. The collaboration between Aira Technologies and Nokia aims to replace this approach with agentic AI systems that continuously validate and optimize network behavior.

By combining Nokia’s leadership in multi-vendor RAN (Radio Access Network) management with Aira’s AI-native Naavik One platform, the partnership focuses on enabling closed-loop automation that not only executes actions but also verifies outcomes and adjusts operations dynamically.

The companies say this evolution is critical for operators managing increasingly complex network environments while maintaining high standards for performance, reliability, and sustainability.

Enabling Closed-Loop, AI-Native Network Operations

The integration of Aira’s Naavik One with Nokia’s MantaRay SMO platform is designed to enable real-time, evidence-driven automation across telecom networks.

This approach allows operators to move toward intent-to-outcome operations, where high-level business or performance objectives are translated into automated actions that are continuously monitored and optimized.

According to Aira Technologies, this model supports operators in advancing toward Level 4 autonomous networks, where systems can self-correct and maintain performance with minimal human intervention.

"With this collaboration, we're paving the path towards intent-to-outcome for the next generation of RAN operations," said Malick Noor, Chief Revenue Officer at Aira Technologies. "By running Aira's agentic rApps on Nokia MantaRay SMO, Naavik will achieve the full closed-loop lifecycle to validate, correct, and prove outcomes, creating a foundation for operators advancing toward true Level 4 autonomous networks."

Strengthening Telecom Network Efficiency and Sustainability

Beyond automation, the collaboration is also aimed at improving the operational efficiency and environmental sustainability of telecom infrastructure.

By optimizing RAN performance through AI-driven decision-making, operators can reduce inefficiencies in network usage while improving reliability and cost management across large-scale deployments.

The integration also supports multi-vendor environments, enabling operators to manage heterogeneous network infrastructure through a unified automation layer.

Expanding AI-Native Capabilities in Telecom Ecosystems

Aira’s Naavik One applications are now available through Nokia’s SMO marketplace, making AI-native automation tools more accessible to telecom operators globally.

The partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward embedding artificial intelligence directly into network operations, moving beyond traditional orchestration tools toward fully autonomous systems capable of continuous optimization.
