Aerospike Inc has announced that its Aerospike Academy training program is now open to all developers and operators worldwide, removing its previous restriction to enterprise customers. The move is aimed at accelerating adoption of Aerospike’s real-time NoSQL database as demand grows for high-performance infrastructure capable of supporting agentic AI and other latency-sensitive workloads.
Aerospike’s decision to open its Academy reflects the growing need for developers to build applications that require sub-millisecond latency and large-scale data processing. Traditionally used by large-scale consumer applications, Aerospike’s database is now being positioned as a foundational layer for enterprise-grade agentic AI systems.
As organizations move AI workloads into production environments, the need for predictable performance, real-time responsiveness, and scalable data infrastructure has increased significantly. The Academy aims to bridge the skills gap by providing structured learning paths for developers and operators working in these environments.
Aerospike Academy offers a tiered learning experience designed to support beginners through to advanced practitioners. The curriculum includes Learning Launchpads, which combine short video lessons and quizzes, Hands-on Modules for applied practice in interactive environments, and multi-hour workshops that provide deeper technical training and certification through digital badges.
These resources are designed to help developers build real-time applications while gaining practical experience with Aerospike’s database architecture and operational workflows.
The Academy is tightly integrated with Aerospike’s broader AI-native development ecosystem, which was introduced earlier this year. This includes Aerospike Voyager, a visual workspace for querying and exploring data conversationally, as well as an embedded MCP Server that allows AI agents to interact directly with the database.
Updated SDKs for Java and Python further support developers in building production-ready applications more efficiently, with a consistent development path from prototype to scale without requiring major architectural changes.
“For most of Aerospike’s history, organizations came to us because they had speed and scale problems most organizations didn’t face,” said Srini Srinivasan, founder and CTO, Aerospike. “Opening Aerospike Academy to everyone is how we welcome all the developers arriving at that requirement for the first time, and give experienced teams the training to expand Aerospike across the enterprise.”
The combined offering of Aerospike Academy, Community Edition, and developer tools is designed to support the full lifecycle of modern AI applications—from experimentation to enterprise deployment. By reducing barriers to entry and providing hands-on tooling, Aerospike is positioning itself as an infrastructure layer for real-time AI systems.
