Barndoor has announced support for SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management), enabling IT administrators to automate user provisioning and deprovisioning directly through Okta. The update extends the company's existing single sign-on (SSO) capabilities and simplifies identity management for organizations deploying AI agents and MCP-connected tools.
Barndoor has enhanced its AI governance platform by adding support for SCIM, an open identity standard that automates user and group provisioning across enterprise applications.
With the new capability, organizations using Okta can automatically synchronize user accounts and group memberships with Barndoor. When administrators add, modify, or remove users within Okta, those changes are immediately reflected within the Barndoor platform without requiring manual intervention.
The company says the enhancement complements its existing single sign-on capabilities while streamlining identity lifecycle management for enterprise AI environments.
SCIM enables identity providers such as Okta to automatically create, update, and remove user accounts across connected applications.
By extending its identity integrations beyond authentication, Barndoor allows IT teams to automate onboarding and offboarding processes while maintaining centralized access control for AI agents and connected enterprise tools.
The company noted that SCIM builds on its existing support for industry-standard authentication protocols, including OpenID Connect (OIDC) and SAML 2.0.
In addition to Okta, Barndoor integrates with several enterprise identity providers, including Microsoft Entra ID, Ping Identity, Google Workspace, Auth0, and OneLogin.
These integrations enable organizations to manage authentication, user provisioning, groups, and role assignments through their existing identity infrastructure without changing established enterprise security workflows.
Barndoor has also joined the Okta Integration Network (OIN), allowing administrators to deploy the integration directly from the Okta App Catalog.
Organizations can add the application through the Okta Admin Console and enable SCIM provisioning and group synchronization using the platform's built-in configuration options.
The latest update strengthens Barndoor's enterprise AI governance capabilities by helping IT and security teams automate identity management while maintaining consistent access controls across AI agents and connected applications.
