Enhancing Low-Light Autonomous Drone Operations

ZenaTech’s latest innovation focuses on improving visibility and data capture in dimly lit indoor environments where traditional systems face limitations. The new camera system, developed by its Spider Vision Sensors subsidiary, integrates AI-driven analytics with onboard LED illumination to enhance imaging performance and operational accuracy.

Prototype units are currently undergoing testing at ZenaDrone’s facility in Sharjah, UAE, while additional units are being manufactured to support expanded trials and future deployments.

Strengthening IQ Nano’s AI-Driven Capabilities

The IQ Nano platform is designed for autonomous operation in GPS-denied, confined, and high-risk environments such as warehouses, armories, and secure logistics facilities. It supports automated inventory management through barcode scanning, asset tracking, and anomaly detection, reducing reliance on manual labor while improving accuracy and operational safety.

The new 155-gram camera module enhances these capabilities by enabling improved asset identification, verification, and real-time reporting in low-light conditions. When combined with the IQ Nano’s autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance systems, it strengthens the drone’s ability to operate continuously in complex indoor environments.

“The new camera system further enhances the IQ Nano's capabilities as a unique AI-powered drone platform driving considerable automation benefits for both commercial and defense customers,” said Dr. Shaun Passley, CEO of ZenaTech. “By combining advanced imaging, integrated LED illumination, and AI-driven analytics, we are improving operational visibility, data accuracy, and decision-making in challenging dimly lit indoor warehouse environments.”

Expanding Use Cases Across Commercial and Defense Sectors

The enhanced IQ Nano platform is designed to serve both commercial and defense applications. In commercial environments, it supports automated inventory management, inspections, and facility monitoring. In defense and government settings, it enables secure surveillance, logistics operations, and equipment verification in restricted or high-security facilities.

The platform is also capable of operating individually or as part of coordinated drone fleets, enabling scalable deployments across large facilities and complex operational environments.

AI, Autonomy, and Multi-Sector Expansion Strategy

ZenaTech continues to expand its AI and drone ecosystem through ZenaDrone, its manufacturing subsidiary focused on autonomous aerial systems. The company’s broader strategy includes integrating AI, predictive analytics, and advanced computing across drone platforms designed for industrial, government, and defense use cases.

The IQ Nano is part of a wider portfolio that includes multiple drone systems under development for surveying, logistics, ISR missions, underwater operations, and counter-UAS applications, reinforcing ZenaTech’s positioning in the autonomous systems and defense technology space.
