Pervaziv AI has announced the introduction of a Free Tier for Cortex Enterprise AI, making it easier for developers and organizations to begin using Cortex directly in Visual Studio Code without providing payment information. The Free Tier provides basic Cortex chat in VS Code and is designed around a simple idea: Enterprise AI should be easy to start, useful from the first interaction, and capable of expanding as requirements grow.

  • Pervaziv AI launches Free Tier for Cortex Enterprise AI in VS Code.

  • No payment information required to start using Cortex chat.

  • Users can progress to Cortex Base, Premium, and Enterprise subscriptions.

  • Cortex AI Model Ensemble includes specialized models for coding, security, privacy, and workflow coordination.

  • Cortex Router adds intelligent coordination based on developer intent and task type.

  • Designed to create an easy entry point into broader Enterprise AI platform.

Enterprise AI Adoption

AI is rapidly becoming part of how organizations design, build, understand, secure, and deliver software. Yet for many engineering leaders and development teams, an important question remains surprisingly practical: where should adoption begin? Pervaziv AI believes the answer should not require an organization to transform its development environment before it can determine whether AI creates value. Instead, teams should be able to begin with a useful developer experience, evaluate how AI fits into everyday work, establish trust, and then expand into more sophisticated capabilities when business requirements justify them.

Cortex Free Tier

Developers can access basic Cortex chat in VS Code without providing payment information. The experience intentionally focuses on a common starting point for AI-assisted development: interacting with AI in the editor. From there, organizations can expand into secure development, software security analysis, connected knowledge, enterprise applications, cloud environments, privacy protection, prompt security, and governance through the broader Cortex platform. Recent releases introduced the Cortex AI Model Ensemble, bringing together specialized intelligence for coding, security, privacy, prompt protection, analysis, safety, verification, and workflow coordination. Cortex Router subsequently became the eighth specialized model in the ensemble, adding intelligent coordination based on developer intent, task type, scope, risk, and the appropriate workflow.

"Enterprise AI adoption should not begin with a procurement obstacle or a complicated platform decision," said Anoop Jaishankar, Founder and CEO of Pervaziv AI. "It should begin with value. A developer should be able to open the environment they already use, ask Cortex for help, understand what the experience can contribute, and decide where it belongs in their workflow. The larger opportunity comes after that first useful interaction. As AI becomes part of real engineering work, organizations need security, privacy, enterprise context, validation, integrations, permissions, and human oversight around it. The Free Tier creates an easier front door into that larger Cortex vision."
