NinjaOne®, unifying IT to simplify work, today announced the appointment of Mitchell Plonski as Senior Vice President of Global Public Sector. Plonski joins NinjaOne's executive leadership team and will drive the company's public sector strategy and growth globally. In this role, Plonski will partner closely with government and public sector customers worldwide, helping them simplify IT operations so their teams can focus on additional strategic work.
Mitchell Plonski appointed SVP of Global Public Sector at NinjaOne.
23 years of public sector experience from Halcyon, Shift5, and White House.
Previously President of Halcyon, leading federal and international go-to-market.
Co-founder and CRO at Shift5, overseeing federal, commercial, and international revenue.
Served as Senior Duty Officer in White House Situation Room and Office of Director of National Intelligence.
NinjaOne achieved $12.3B valuation and FedRAMP Moderate Authorization.
Sal Sferlazza, CEO and co-founder of NinjaOne, stated: "Mitchell's deep experience serving public sector organizations makes him the ideal leader to accelerate NinjaOne's next chapter of public sector growth. Mitchell's leadership, combined with our continued investment in FedRAMP Moderate and High, sends a clear signal that NinjaOne is committed to being a long-term partner for public sector organizations as they modernize and secure their IT environments."
Plonski brings 23 years of experience scaling public sector organizations across federal and enterprise markets. Most recently, he served as President of Halcyon, where he led all federal and international public sector go-to-market teams. Prior to Halcyon, he was co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer at Shift5, where he oversaw federal, commercial, and international revenue. Earlier, Plonski served as a Senior Duty Officer in the White House Situation Room with the National Security Council and held operations roles at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. He began his career in the U.S. Army as a non-commissioned officer.
Mitchell Plonski stated: "I have worked alongside public sector IT teams long enough to know how hard their job is. Too many tools, not enough visibility, and no margin for downtime with high expectations and thin budgets. NinjaOne can solve each of these issues, and that's ultimately what makes me so excited for this opportunity. More than 1,500 state, local, and education organizations trust NinjaOne to unify IT."
Plonski's appointment follows a period of significant momentum for NinjaOne's public sector business. The company achieved FedRAMP Authorization at the Moderate Impact Level in September 2025 and received GovRAMP Authorization at the Moderate Impact Level in August 2025. These milestones, combined with NinjaOne securing a $12.3 billion valuation and more than $400 million in Series C extensions, underscore the company's investment in serving government and public sector customers at scale.
