New Relic Focuses on AI-Powered Observability for Azure and GitHub

New Relic said its latest Microsoft integrations are designed to embed observability insights directly into Azure and GitHub developer environments. The company stated that the collaboration focuses on helping enterprises automate incident detection, root cause analysis, remediation, and operational intelligence for increasingly complex AI-driven environments.

According to New Relic, organizations adopting AI-generated code and autonomous systems require observability tools that can provide actionable insights directly within developer and site reliability engineering workflows.

“Our strategic partnership with Microsoft is built on the shared goal of helping customers adopt AI at scale with confidence. At Build 2026, we are showcasing how New Relic and Microsoft are pushing the boundaries of software to drive truly actionable, autonomous intelligence,” said Thomas Lloyd, Chief Business and Operations Officer at New Relic.

“By bringing together our AI-strengthened deep observability insights with a number of Microsoft’s own AI agents, we’re allowing customers to move beyond insights to independent, real-time action. This ongoing collaboration is about delivering together upon the future promises of AI with technology available to our joint customers, today.”

New Azure Integrations Aim to Improve Incident Resolution

One of the key announcements includes New Relic’s agentic AI integrations with Microsoft Azure, which are designed to reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR) and improve operational visibility.

The company highlighted its New Relic Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, which embeds Intelligent Observability insights directly into the Azure SRE Agent. The integration allows developers and operations teams to surface contextual telemetry and automate issue detection and remediation processes.

New Relic also introduced Monitoring for Microsoft Foundry, which ingests Azure logs and metrics into New Relic dashboards to provide detailed visibility into application and AI agent performance.

The company said these integrations are intended to help organizations improve operational efficiency while supporting large-scale AI deployments.

GitHub Integrations Bring AI-Driven Security and Validation

New Relic also announced several GitHub-focused innovations aimed at improving software security and deployment visibility.

The New Relic Security RX integration for GitHub Copilot uses runtime context to identify software vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions. In addition, the GitHub Actions integration helps detect missing instrumentation during deployments to reduce observability blind spots.

The company also expanded its integration with GitHub Copilot’s coding agent to automate change validation and incident response processes using AI-driven workflows.

According to New Relic, the integrations create a continuous feedback loop that improves system reliability while reducing manual troubleshooting and operational overhead.

Microsoft Marketplace Growth Reflects Enterprise Demand

New Relic stated that customer adoption through Microsoft Azure Marketplace continues to grow, supported by enterprises seeking faster procurement and deployment of observability solutions.

The company noted that organizations can use existing Azure consumption commitments to deploy New Relic observability services through Microsoft Marketplace.

New Relic also highlighted the availability of its Monitoring for SAP Solutions offering on the Marketplace, which it describes as the only agentless certified RISE with SAP observability solution currently available.

The company said its broader Microsoft collaboration is focused on enabling enterprises to operationalize AI with stronger visibility, automation, and real-time observability across cloud-native environments.
