Azumo has introduced Valkyrie, a new AI coding agent service designed to simplify AI-assisted software development with predictable pricing and enterprise-ready security. The platform enables engineering teams to access open-weight AI models through their existing development tools while eliminating the complexity of managing GPU infrastructure or variable API costs. Initially available through a limited friends-and-family release, Valkyrie aims to help organizations accelerate AI-powered software development without sacrificing cost control or governance.

Azumo Introduces Valkyrie for AI-Assisted Software Development

Azumo has officially launched Valkyrie, an AI coding agent platform built to provide engineering teams with a predictable and scalable approach to AI-assisted software development. Instead of relying on traditional usage-based API pricing, Valkyrie follows a flat per-developer seat model, allowing organizations to use AI coding assistants without worrying about token consumption or unexpected costs.

The service is currently available to a limited group through a friends-and-family release before expanding to broader public availability.

Open-Weight AI Models Integrated into Existing Developer Workflows

Valkyrie enables developers to use leading open-weight AI models, including Qwen, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, and GLM, through a compatible API that integrates with widely used coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and command-line environments.

Azumo manages the underlying infrastructure, including GPU provisioning, scaling, and operational reliability, enabling engineering teams to adopt AI coding capabilities without building or maintaining dedicated infrastructure.

Predictable Pricing Paired with Automated Code Review

One of Valkyrie's key differentiators is its flat-rate pricing model, which replaces metered API billing with unlimited usage per developer. The platform also integrates with Azumo Code Audit, an automated code review solution that evaluates generated code for security vulnerabilities, infrastructure costs, and architectural concerns before deployment.

According to Azumo, this combination allows organizations to scale AI-assisted development while maintaining software quality and governance standards.

"Every engineering team we talk to is running into the same wall: AI coding agents are becoming essential, but the metered bill makes it hard to let your best developers use them as much as the work actually requires," said Chike Agbai, Founder and CEO of Azumo. "Valkyrie removes that ceiling. Teams get a flat cost per seat and the freedom to build without counting tokens."

Limited Rollout Targets Early Production Workloads

The initial release allows selected development teams to use Valkyrie in real-world projects before wider availability. During this phase, Azumo plans to evaluate how organizations combine open-weight and commercial AI models across active codebases.

The company expects the first users to include Builder Teams working on proof-of-concept projects and early production deployments, with additional support for regulated industries and enterprise-scale environments planned in future releases.

"We built Valkyrie to run alongside the tools teams already use", said JP Lorandi, Chief Technology Officer of Azumo. "The friends and family phase is where we stress-test that in real workflows, watching how teams actually mix open-weight and commercial models on a single codebase, before we open it up more broadly."

Enterprise Security and Compliance Built into the Platform

Valkyrie is built on Azumo's SOC 2-certified infrastructure and incorporates GDPR-aligned data handling practices, encrypted communications, role-based access control, and detailed audit logging. The company also states that customer code and prompts are used only to process individual requests and are never utilized for model training.

Organizations interested in accessing Valkyrie after the initial release period can request early access, while demonstrations of the platform are also available.

Azumo's latest launch reflects the growing enterprise demand for AI coding platforms that combine open-weight AI models, predictable pricing, secure infrastructure, and automated governance within modern software development workflows.
