Ahrefs has significantly expanded the capabilities of its Brand Radar product, integrating tracking for YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit. This update empowers marketing teams to monitor brand mentions across influential video platforms and track Reddit visibility within Google Search results, capturing critical surfaces where brand discovery and evaluation increasingly occur.
Ahrefs' Brand Radar now tracks brand mentions on YouTube and TikTok (beta).
It also monitors Reddit visibility within Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).
The tool consolidates these mentions into a single view for competitive analysis.
Indexing is powered by the same infrastructure used for AI visibility tracking.
The feature scans video descriptions, transcripts, and titles for brand mentions.
This helps businesses understand what drives brand visibility across modern discovery channels.
The expansion addresses a shift in how consumers find and research brands, moving beyond traditional search to include video content and community discussions. Brand Radar now aggregates data from these platforms, allowing teams to see where their brand appears, compare performance against competitors, and identify which channels are most impactful. This supports Ahrefs' overarching mission to help businesses maintain discoverability across all relevant digital surfaces.
The new tracking capabilities are built on Ahrefs' existing scalable infrastructure, which processes hundreds of millions of data points monthly across AI tools and search engines. This foundation enables Brand Radar to index and monitor fast-moving platforms like video and social media effectively.
This feature scans video metadata—including descriptions, transcripts, and titles—specifically for brand mentions. Instead of presenting full transcripts, it surfaces only the relevant snippets containing the brand reference. This allows teams to quickly ascertain which videos mention their brand and understand the contextual conversation.
This tracks brand appearances within Reddit results that are displayed in Google Search. It monitors the titles, descriptions, and subreddit snippets that appear in search results, providing insight into brand visibility within these influential community-driven discussions.
Ahrefs leadership highlighted the strategic thinking behind integrating these platforms. “ChatGPT and other AI tools are becoming an important discovery layer, but they’re not where demand starts," said Tim Soulo, Chief Marketing Officer at Ahrefs. "Demand is created on platforms that capture massive attention — YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit — where people talk, share, and influence each other. By monitoring brand mentions across these platforms, Brand Radar helps teams understand what’s driving their visibility in AI, not just where they end up being mentioned.”
This update positions Brand Radar as a more comprehensive solution for modern marketing intelligence. By bridging visibility tracking across search, AI, video, and community platforms, it provides a holistic view of a brand's digital footprint, enabling more informed strategic decisions.
