Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) has appointed David Burton as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues expanding its AI-ready data centre portfolio. Burton will oversee the company's global technology and security functions, driving digital transformation, cybersecurity, and scalable technology platforms that support long-term business growth.
Colt DCS has named David Burton as Chief Information Officer, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization's global technology and security operations. In his new role, Burton will shape the company's technology vision while delivering secure, scalable, and future-ready digital platforms that support Colt DCS' expanding global business. His appointment also strengthens the company's Executive Leadership Team as demand for AI-ready and hyperscale data centres continues to grow.
Burton joins Colt DCS from Global Switch Data Centres, where he served as Group Director of Information. Throughout his career spanning more than 25 years, he has led enterprise technology initiatives across cloud computing, virtualization, IT service management, research and development, and consumer goods.
His expertise in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology strategy is expected to help Colt DCS enhance operational efficiency while supporting future business expansion.
