Powered by the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the new capability enables users to retrieve, analyze, and act on real-time business data directly from AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude without navigating traditional management portals.

Instead of searching through management portals or opening support requests, users can ask conversational questions such as the number of purchase orders received or shipping notice errors during a specific period. The platform retrieves live network data, analyzes it, and delivers actionable responses within the AI conversation.
Beyond retrieving information, ECGrid's AI integration analyzes operational data to provide context. For example, users investigating failed document transfers can receive explanations generated from live diagnostic information rather than reviewing raw logs.
Responses can also appear as interactive panels that allow users to filter results, drill into specific records, and take action directly from the AI assistant, improving operational efficiency for business and IT teams.

The new capability is built using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that extends traditional API-based integrations by enabling AI assistants to securely interact with enterprise systems through conversational interfaces.
By exposing ECGridOS through an MCP server, customers can use multiple AI assistants without relying on proprietary integrations, providing greater flexibility across enterprise AI environments.
Access to the AI-powered functionality is governed by each user's existing ECGrid authorization through API-key authentication. The service operates on ECGrid's SOC 2 Type II audited platform, maintaining enterprise-grade security and access controls.
