CAI Software, LLC (CAI) has acquired PlanetTogether, a provider of Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) software for process and discrete manufacturers. The acquisition expands CAI's manufacturing software portfolio by adding advanced production scheduling, capacity planning, and constraint-based optimization capabilities, further strengthening its offerings for industrial organizations.
CAI has announced the acquisition of PlanetTogether, enhancing its position in the manufacturing software market by adding advanced planning and scheduling capabilities to its existing portfolio. The move enables CAI to offer manufacturers more comprehensive solutions that integrate enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution systems (MES), shop-floor execution, and advanced production scheduling.
PlanetTogether's APS platform enables manufacturers to reduce replanning time, optimize production capacity across multiple facilities, and evaluate operational scenarios before implementing changes on the production floor.
The acquisition brings sophisticated constraint-based scheduling, capacity planning, and production optimization technologies into CAI's manufacturing software ecosystem. These capabilities are designed to help manufacturers improve operational efficiency, increase resource utilization, and support better production planning across complex manufacturing environments.
