Shush and Modica Expand Carrier-Based Authentication Services

Shush Inc., a provider of carrier-grade network authentication solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Modica Group Limited, a global Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) provider. Under the agreement, Modica becomes an official Demand Partner for mobile network operators utilizing the Shush Sherlock platform, expanding access to Network Authentication APIs throughout Oceania, Asia, and Latin America.

The collaboration strengthens Shush's presence in the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific and Latin America markets while enabling enterprises to adopt modern authentication methods that improve security and reduce fraud.

Sherlock Platform Brings Advanced Network Authentication APIs

Through the partnership, Modica Group will leverage carrier services within the Shush network to access network APIs on behalf of enterprise customers. Organizations across finance, government, retail, healthcare, logistics, and other sectors will gain access to capabilities including silent authentication, SIM swap detection, device status verification, and number lookup.

By integrating Sherlock into its security and identity portfolio, Modica can offer enterprises a SIM-based authentication solution that eliminates the reliance on SMS one-time passwords (OTP), reducing exposure to SIM swap attacks and account takeover fraud.

The Sherlock platform provides access to more than 47 network APIs, including 10 CAMARA Network Authentication and Identity APIs, enabling secure identity verification without requiring users to enter OTP codes or download additional applications.

Partnership Targets Growing Demand for Mobile Identity Security

Modica Group has established enterprise relationships across Australia, New Zealand, Oceania, Asia, and Latin America, serving customers in government, banking, aviation, logistics, and utilities. These existing partnerships position the company to accelerate enterprise adoption of carrier-based authentication technologies across multiple industries.

"Partnering with Shush gives us the ability to deliver a genuinely new category of security capability to our enterprise customers across the region. Network authentication represents the next evolution beyond SMS OTP, and Shush's Sherlock platform is purpose-built for the carrier ecosystem we operate in. We look forward to bringing this technology to market across Oceania, Asia and Latin America."

— Richard Babanour, Head of Partnerships & International Development, Modica Group Limited

Supporting the Shift Beyond SMS OTP

The partnership reflects growing enterprise demand for authentication methods that improve security while reducing user friction. By utilizing mobile network intelligence, organizations can verify user identities more securely without depending on traditional SMS-based authentication.

"Modica Group's deep-rooted presence across Oceania, Asia and Latin America, combined with their enterprise messaging relationships, makes them the ideal demand partner to bring network authentication capabilities to the region. The APAC and Latin America market is primed for a shift away from SMS OTP, and Modica has the enterprise customer base and technical infrastructure to drive adoption at scale. This partnership accelerates our mission to make silent, SIM-based authentication the global standard."

— Eddie DeCurtis, Co-Founder & CEO, Shush Inc.

The collaboration expands the Sherlock ecosystem while helping enterprises modernize digital identity verification using carrier-grade network authentication technologies. As organizations continue strengthening fraud prevention strategies, the partnership positions both companies to support broader adoption of secure, frictionless authentication across international markets.
