ASSIST Software and Codesphere will participate in the IKT Security Conference 2026 on September 16 and 17 at the Design Center Linz in Austria. Organized by the Austrian Armed Forces, the conference is one of Austria's largest events dedicated to information security and cybersecurity.
Tudor Andronic, Managing Director of ASSIST Software GmbH, and René Döhring, Chief Product Officer at Codesphere, will give a joint presentation on the use of robotics, artificial intelligence, and sovereign cloud technology in operational settings. Their presentation addresses a specific problem: organizations want the speed and analytical capacity of AI, but they cannot surrender command authority, control over sensitive data, or responsibility for the outcome.
"AI can filter observations, identify relevant information, and reduce the time needed to understand a situation," said Tudor Andronic. "The final judgment must still belong to the person responsible for the operation. That division of responsibility has guided the system we will present in Linz."
ASSIST Software will also demonstrate a robotic field companion developed to support situational awareness. The mobile platform uses onboard computing and AI-based sensing to detect relevant activity and communicate alerts to personnel. Processing takes place at the edge, allowing the system to operate without depending on a permanent connection to an external cloud. The system is designed for sensing and analysis, with operational decisions remaining under human supervision.
The presentation will also address the use of AI in military training, operational planning, and after-action analysis. In each case, AI assists with information processing and prepares material for review. Plans, interventions, and conclusions remain subject to human approval.
Codesphere will cover the infrastructure requirements behind such applications. This gives defense and public-sector organizations greater flexibility in choosing where applications and data are hosted while maintaining control over security, governance, and operations.
