Tech Mahindra has launched Agentic Development & Modernization Services, a new AI-driven services portfolio designed to help enterprises modernize application development, operations, and software engineering environments. The offering integrates agentic AI capabilities across the application lifecycle to support the transition toward autonomous, AI-native enterprise ecosystems.
Tech Mahindra announced the launch of its Agentic Development & Modernization Services portfolio as enterprises increasingly adopt AI-native operating models and autonomous software engineering strategies.
The company stated that the new offering evolves the traditional concept of Application Development and Maintenance Services into Agentic Development and Modernization Services by embedding autonomous AI, contextual reasoning, and intelligent orchestration into enterprise application ecosystems.
Built on Tech Mahindra’s experience in application development and managed services, the portfolio is designed to help enterprises modernize legacy applications, improve operational efficiency, and build scalable digital platforms capable of continuous adaptation.
According to the company, the services leverage agentic AI to enable systems that can analyze, adapt, and respond to changing business requirements with reduced manual intervention.
Kunal Purohit, President - Next Gen Verticals, Tech Mahindra, said, "As organizations increasingly shift toward AI-native operating models, industry estimates indicate that spending on application implementation and next-generation engineering services is expected to grow significantly over the next several years. This will be driven by the rising demand for intelligent operations, autonomous software engineering, and outcome-driven transformation. With Agentic Development & Modernization Services, Tech Mahindra is helping enterprises accelerate this transition by enabling more adaptive, resilient, and context-aware application ecosystems that define the future of autonomous enterprises."
The Agentic Development & Modernization Services portfolio is organized around four core pillars designed to support AI-enabled enterprise operations and modernization initiatives.
This pillar focuses on transforming enterprise platforms into modular, API-first, AI-ready architectures capable of supporting adaptive and agent-driven execution models.
Tech Mahindra is embedding intelligent AI agents across software engineering and DevSecOps lifecycles to improve developer productivity, accelerate application delivery, and optimize engineering outcomes.
The portfolio incorporates intelligent automation, reasoning engines, knowledge graphs, and AIOps capabilities to enable real-time monitoring, self-healing systems, and AI-driven operational optimization.
The quality engineering framework introduces autonomous quality assurance agents designed to continuously optimize software testing, reliability, and DevOps pipeline assurance processes.
Tech Mahindra stated that the services are powered by several proprietary engineering and AI platforms, including Swifter.io, AppGinieZ, Reforge, and LitmusT.
The company also introduced its Vector Squad-based delivery approach, which combines human engineering expertise with AI agents to support autonomous software engineering initiatives.
Additionally, Tech Mahindra is implementing a productized pricing structure through “Service Tokens,” aimed at enabling modular service consumption, clearer business value measurement, and improved cost predictability for enterprise clients.
Alisha Mittal, Vice President, Software Engineering, Everest Group, said, "The application services market is entering a more agentic phase, where enterprises are increasingly looking beyond traditional automation toward AI-enabled delivery models that can support continuous evolution, operational resilience, and greater engineering adaptability. As application environments become more complex and change cycles accelerate, the market is seeing growing interest in more intelligent and software-led approaches to application development, modernization, and operations."
The launch reflects Tech Mahindra’s broader strategy to support enterprises moving toward intelligent, composable, and AI-native digital ecosystems focused on agility, operational responsiveness, and business-led innovation outcomes.
