Available through the Salt Agentic Security Platform, the Policy Hub enables organizations to rapidly deploy governance policies without building security frameworks from scratch. The company positions the platform as an "app store" for agentic security governance, allowing security teams to activate and customize enterprise-ready policies based on their operational requirements.
As organizations increasingly adopt AI agents, APIs have become the foundation for how autonomous systems access enterprise data, execute workflows, and interact with business applications.
Salt Security's expanded Policy Hub addresses this shift by extending governance beyond APIs to cover the broader agentic ecosystem, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, identity controls, agent authorization, runtime behavior, and third-party integrations.
The platform includes policies for data protection, OAuth security, API architecture, compliance monitoring, and AI-specific governance designed to reduce risks associated with autonomous systems.
The Policy Hub includes 100 pre-built policies, with 61 available immediately through automatic activation. Organizations can also deploy additional policies with a single click and create unlimited custom governance rules tailored to their environments.
The platform supports governance across multiple compliance standards, including PCI DSS, FedRAMP, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, CMMC, and HITECH.

Salt Security said the Policy Hub continues to evolve alongside emerging AI technologies. Earlier capabilities such as MCP server discovery have been complemented with governance policies addressing server misconfigurations, excessive agent permissions, and unauthorized AI agent actions.
The company also highlighted Salt Code, introduced in June 2026, which applies the same governance engine to AI-generated software during development, extending policy enforcement from software creation through runtime operations.
