DevOps Midwest 2026 Brings AI and DevOps Experts Together

Sketch Development Services will host DevOps Midwest 2026 at Webster University in St. Louis, positioning the event as a conference designed specifically for developers, architects, and technical professionals.

The one-day conference will feature practitioner-led technical sessions covering emerging trends in artificial intelligence, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, software delivery, and security.

Industry Experts to Deliver Technical Sessions

Wayne Brown, Senior Partner Solutions Architect at Atlassian, will deliver the keynote address. Brown brings more than two decades of enterprise IT experience from organizations including Oracle, AppDynamics, and Atlassian.

Additional featured speakers include:

  • Rohit Mishra, Cloud Solutions Architect at Google Cloud, discussing large language models running on Kubernetes.
  • Tara Schofield, Technical Advocate at Datadog, presenting on AI agent skills for cloud operations.

Conference sessions will also explore:

  • AI-assisted coding pilots.
  • Testing strategies for AI-enabled systems.
  • Compliance-native CI/CD pipelines.
  • Software supply chain security.
  • Software delivery measurement using existing engineering data.

Several presentations will include live coding demonstrations and hands-on technical examples.

Atlassian Supports Regional DevOps Community

Atlassian is sponsoring the 2026 edition of DevOps Midwest, reinforcing the conference's growing presence within the regional technology community.

“Atlassian’s sponsorship says a lot about what this event has become,” said Elizabeth Wheeler, VP of Partner Solutions at Sketch. “When a global software company puts its name behind a regional conference, that signals real credibility. I'm especially excited for the St. Louis development and DevOps community to see Atlassian Software Collection, which provides way more visibility into how AI is working within the software development lifecycle.”

AI Continues to Shape Software Development

According to Sketch, artificial intelligence will be a recurring theme across many conference sessions as organizations increasingly modernize software development processes.

“Several of this year’s talks are about modernizing the software development lifecycle, and AI runs through nearly all of them,” said Tyler Dougherty, VP of Business Development at Sketch. “That reflects where our clients are headed. Clients count on Sketch when they need the expertise of a leading custom AI firm, and this conference puts that expertise on stage.”

The agenda reflects broader industry interest in integrating AI into software engineering, cloud operations, and DevOps workflows.

Practical Learning for Technical Professionals

Sketch emphasized that DevOps Midwest is designed to deliver practical, hands-on learning that attendees can apply within their organizations.

“We built DevOps Midwest to be genuinely valuable for our technical community,” said Calvin Horrell, General Manager at Sketch. “There’s enough hands-on learning packed into the conference to make it easy to justify the time away from work for a day.”

Early bird tickets are available for $149 through August 17, 2026, with standard pricing increasing to $199 afterward.
