SandboxAQ has announced that its Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) will be made available through Google Cloud Marketplace, marking a significant step in expanding access to physics-grounded AI for enterprise and research use cases. The integration enables users to access scientific, equation-based AI models directly through conversational AI tools, without requiring specialized code or infrastructure.

The LQMs are built on real-world laboratory data and scientific principles, designed for use across the global quantitative economy, which spans industries such as biopharma, energy, advanced materials, and financial services. By making these models available through Google Cloud, SandboxAQ aims to broaden adoption while strengthening AI-driven capabilities in scientific discovery and healthcare innovation.

Expanding Access to Physics-Grounded AI

The availability of LQMs on Google Cloud Marketplace allows researchers and enterprises to use scientifically grounded AI models without needing custom infrastructure. These models are designed to complement large language models by adding rigorous, physics-based reasoning to AI workflows.

This approach allows organizations to combine natural language AI systems with quantitative scientific models, improving accuracy and decision-making in complex research environments.

Brian Goldstein, Vice President Strategic AI and ISV at Google Cloud, said:
"Bringing SandboxAQ's Large Quantitative Models to GCP Marketplace is one of the ways we are empowering healthcare researchers to accelerate drug discovery and solve one of the most critical gaps in healthcare today."

LQMs and the Quantitative Economy

SandboxAQ’s LQMs are designed to serve what the company defines as the quantitative economy, a global market exceeding $50 trillion. This includes industries that rely heavily on scientific modeling and simulation, such as pharmaceuticals, chemical engineering, energy systems, and financial modeling.

By embedding these models into Google Cloud Marketplace, SandboxAQ is positioning LQMs as accessible tools for researchers and enterprises seeking high-precision computational capabilities at scale.

Integration with Frontier AI Systems

The collaboration also reflects a broader strategy of integrating LQMs with leading large language models. SandboxAQ has previously worked on integrations with models such as Anthropic’s Claude, and now extends this approach through Google Cloud’s ecosystem.

Jack D. Hidary, CEO of SandboxAQ, said:
"Bringing our LQMs to Google Cloud's Marketplace will put the rigor of first-principles science directly into the hands of every researcher, in the tools they already use."

He further noted that combining reasoning capabilities from frontier models with quantitative scientific precision creates a powerful hybrid approach for research and discovery workflows.

Key Applications: Materials and Drug Discovery

The first LQM to be offered on Google Cloud Marketplace will be AQCat, launching in Q3. AQCat is designed for materials and catalyst discovery, focusing on adsorption energy calculations, which help determine how strongly molecules bind to catalyst surfaces.

This capability enables researchers to rapidly identify and prioritize promising materials before committing to costly simulations or laboratory experiments. Catalysts play a foundational role in over 90% of industrial chemical processes, including green hydrogen production, sustainable fuels, fertilizer manufacturing, and plastics recycling.

Following AQCat, SandboxAQ will introduce AQPotency, a drug discovery model also scheduled for Q3 release. AQPotency will help researchers evaluate molecular binders at scale, accelerating early-stage drug discovery by identifying high-potential candidates more efficiently.

Given that the global drug discovery market is projected to grow significantly in the coming years, these capabilities aim to reduce cost and time barriers in pharmaceutical R&D.

Strategic Impact on Scientific Computing

The integration of LQMs into Google Cloud Marketplace enhances access to advanced computational tools for pharmaceutical and industrial research teams. By embedding physics-based AI into widely used cloud environments, SandboxAQ is helping bridge the gap between experimental science and AI-driven simulation.

This positions LQMs as a key enabler for next-generation scientific workflows, where AI systems assist in both hypothesis generation and high-precision validation.

Conclusion

SandboxAQ’s move to bring Large Quantitative Models to Google Cloud Marketplace marks a major step in making physics-based AI more accessible to global researchers and enterprises. By combining scientific rigor with cloud-scale availability, the partnership strengthens the role of AI in accelerating discovery across healthcare, materials science, and industrial innovation.
