A Career Forged in Mission-Critical Operations

Laurent Boïté's 36-year career in the French Armed Forces was defined by leadership in high-stakes environments. He held senior command roles, including second-in-command of French Special Operations and leading French Forces in Djibouti, where he managed complex operations like the evacuation of nationals from Sudan. His background is rooted in executing large-scale transformations involving personnel, technology, and operations under extreme pressure, where availability and security are non-negotiable.

In this role, he was responsible for the digital strategy across 14 IT directorates and several hundred critical systems, with oversight of substantial OPEX and CAPEX budgets. His key priorities directly mirror enterprise challenges: strengthening cybersecurity, ensuring data sovereignty, maintaining interoperability (including with NATO), and driving the adoption of artificial intelligence to modernize vital functions from HR to operations.

His mandate is to leverage his unique operational experience to strengthen how Scality delivers business impact and technological adoption—particularly AI—to its customers.
