The “Assess Where You Need to Progress” program, introduced by the CMO Council and Zeta Global, offers an AI-infused audit to benchmark digital marketing maturity, organizational capacity, and performance predictability. “Generative AI is rapidly reshaping the marketing landscape. It changes the what, the how, and the who of the marketing jobs to be done,” said Ed See, Chief Growth Officer at Zeta Global. “The modern CMO will be expected to lead their organizations, fueling profitable growth with the effectiveness and efficiency that AI technologies can provide.” With 54% of CMOs now responsible for revenue growth and 51% for operational efficiencies, this initiative addresses the evolving demands on marketing leaders.
According to Scott Brinker’s 2025 State of MarTech Report, the number of commercially available marketing solutions reached 15,384, a 9% increase from 2024, with 77% of new products being AI-native. It also showcases best practices from early adopters, offering templates to strengthen business cases for MarTech investments when engaging with CIOs, CFOs, and other stakeholders.
