Netlify, a leading platform for modern web development, announced a new Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) integration on June 17, 2024, designed to simplify the transition from legacy monolithic web architecture to a composable structure. This integration enables AEM users to leverage Netlify’s headless CMS for faster, more flexible digital experiences.
Netlify’s AEM integration aids shift to composable architecture.
Enhances speed-to-market for publishing content efficiently.
Streamlines workflows with composable tool connectivity.
Improves personalization for components and branding.
Supports seamless omnichannel touchpoint integration.
Addresses enterprise challenges in flexibility and cost.
The integration, developed by Netlify partner VShift, allows AEM users to adopt a composable web architecture without disrupting existing operations. As per Gartner, by 2026, all top 20 cloud and SaaS providers will offer component marketplaces to support composable strategies, yet many enterprises find this transition complex and resource-intensive. Netlify’s solution ensures seamless website performance during migration, delivering faster time-to-market and enhanced customer experiences.
The AEM Connector, part of Netlify Connect, streamlines multi-channel project workflows by reducing touchpoints and enabling rapid content publishing. It enhances personalization capabilities for branding and components, aligning with modern digital demands. As Matt Biilmann, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Netlify, stated, “AEM users have long been needing a tool to migrate legacy monolithic web applications towards composable. With the AEM integration, users can go to market and build web front-ends much faster, while connecting tools across workflows to reduce bottlenecks. The end result is high performing digital experiences built in a fast, flexible and painless manner.”
The integration addresses critical pain points for large organizations, particularly in regulated industries. Eric Feige, Managing Director of Strategy at VShift, noted, “According to MACH Alliance’s research, 9 out of 10 decision-makers say composable technology will be instrumental to their organization’s success in the next five years. Adobe is the most widely used digital experience platform (DXP) among very large regulated industry organizations, many marketers and non-IT digital transformation sponsors tell us they struggle with flexibility, speed-to-market and cost.” This solution mitigates those challenges, offering a scalable path to modern web development.
Netlify’s partner ecosystem complements the AEM integration with accelerators like GEAR by Valtech for manufacturing, XCentium’s Composable Accelerator for financial services, and CAFE by Apply Digital for rapid prototyping. These tools enhance B2B functionalities, support multi-language deployments, and reduce integration risks, ensuring enterprises achieve ROI and meet project deadlines efficiently.
