Alight, Inc., a leading cloud-based human capital and technology-enabled services provider, has been Certified™ by Great Place To Work® for the seventh consecutive year. This prestigious recognition underscores the company's commitment to fostering a supportive workplace environment, driven by employee feedback on aspects like wellbeing, trust, and professional growth in the human capital technology sector.

  • Alight secures 2025 Great Place To Work Certification for seventh year, affirming its people-first culture in human capital technology.
  • 75% of Alight employees rate it as a great workplace, 18 points above U.S. average, boosting SaaS and IT talent retention.
  • Key strengths include flexible time off, welcoming onboarding, and trust-based management in cloud-based HR services.
  • Company values—Champion People, Grow with Purpose, Be Alight—support wellbeing across mind, body, wallet, and life dimensions.
  • Initiatives like mental health resources, colleague-led communities, and pay equity enhance employee experience in technology services.
  • Additional honors, including Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For 2024, position Alight as a top employer in HR tech.

Employee Feedback Drives Certification

Employee responses from the Great Place To Work Certification survey reveal strong satisfaction levels at Alight. Notably, 90% of colleagues report they can take time off when necessary, and an equal percentage feel welcomed upon joining the organization. Additionally, 88% indicate they receive meaningful responsibilities, while 87% believe their peers genuinely care about one another. Trust in management is evident, with 86% stating they are empowered to perform their roles without micromanaging. Overall, 75% of Alight's workforce views the company as a great place to work, surpassing the average U.S. company by 18 percentage points. These metrics highlight Alight's effectiveness in building a high-trust environment within the human capital and SaaS technology space.

Leadership Perspectives on Workplace Culture

Alight's executives emphasize the role of culture in driving success. “We’re honored to be recognized once again as a Great Place To Work,” said Dave Guilmette, CEO of Alight. “Our colleagues are the heart of everything we do. This certification affirms the strength of our culture, the passion of our teams and the purpose that connects us—to deliver meaningful impact for our clients and their people.”

Further reinforcing this, Donna Dorsey, Chief Human Resources Officer at Alight, noted, “At Alight, we know that a culture of belonging, growth and wellbeing is essential to creating a high-performing, people-centered business. This recognition is a direct result of listening to our colleagues and acting on their feedback. We’re proud to build a workplace where colleagues feel heard and supported.”

Core Values and Wellbeing Initiatives

Alight's people-first approach is anchored in its core values: Champion People, Grow with Purpose, and Be Alight. These principles inform the Caring for the Whole Person strategy, which addresses four key wellbeing areas—mind, body, wallet, and life—tailored for professionals in IT and technology services.

Mental health remains a focal point, with Alight designated as a Stigma-Free Company by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for three years running. As the presenting sponsor of NAMI NYC’s Workplace Mental Health Collaborative, the company promotes open discussions through Mindful Mondays, executive sessions, and access to tools like the Calm app.

Fostering belonging, over 3,000 employees engage in 11 Colleague-Led Communities (CLCs), creating inclusive networks that support diverse identities and drive business outcomes in human capital solutions.

Equity is prioritized through annual pay analyses to ensure fair compensation across markets, aligning with best practices in SaaS and HR technology.

Actionable feedback from the Fall 2024 engagement survey led to targeted improvements in recognition, growth opportunities, and leadership visibility, resulting in notable gains by Spring 2025.

Colleagues benefit from the Alight Worklife® platform, a proprietary SaaS tool offering personalized support in health, wealth, wellbeing, absence management, and navigation, empowering users through various life stages.

Industry Recognition and Employee Benefits

Beyond the Great Place To Work Certification, Alight's excellence in workplace culture earned it a spot on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2024, solidifying its reputation as a leading employer in human capital technology and cloud-based services.

Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work, stated, "The Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience." She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Alight stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

Research from Great Place To Work shows that employees at Certified™ companies are 4.5 times more likely to have a great boss, 93% more likely to look forward to work, and twice as likely to feel fairly compensated and promoted—outcomes that enhance innovation and retention in competitive fields like IT and SaaS.

This seventh consecutive certification validates Alight's dedication to creating an empowering environment where colleagues in human capital technology can excel, contributing to broader industry standards for employee wellbeing and organizational success.
