A Holistic Solution for Institutional-Grade Digital Assets
As the adoption of tokenized assets and stablecoins grows, financial institutions require a secure and compliant pathway to participate in the digital economy. IBM Digital Asset Haven addresses this need by integrating the full-stack infrastructure of IBM with Dfns's digital asset custody capabilities. The platform provides native support for key residency controls, programmable multi-party approvals, and policy-driven governance frameworks, all built to meet the stringent requirements of regulated entities.
Key Features and Integrated Security
The platform's key features include comprehensive Transaction Lifecycle Management across more than 40 blockchains and a unified Governance and Entitlement Management framework for policy enforcement. It also offers pre-integrated third-party services for KYC and AML to accelerate deployment. From a security perspective, the platform is built on IBM's robust infrastructure, incorporating Multi-Party Computation (MPC), Hardware Security Module (HSM)-based signing, and the IBM Offline Signing Orchestrator for secured cold storage. This approach includes quantum-safe cryptography guidance to help future-proof digital asset security.
"With IBM Digital Asset Haven, our clients have the opportunity to enter and expand into the digital asset space backed by IBM's level of security and reliability," said Tom McPherson, General Manager, IBM Z and LinuxONE. "This new, unified platform delivers the resilience and data governance they have been asking for, empowering governments and enterprises to build the next generation of financial services."
"For digital assets to be integrated into core banking and capital markets systems, the underlying infrastructure must meet the same standards as traditional financial rails," said Clarisse Hagège, CEO of Dfns. "Together with IBM, we've built a platform that goes beyond custody to orchestrate the full digital asset ecosystem."
IBM Digital Asset Haven is expected to be available via SaaS and Hybrid SaaS in the fourth quarter of 2025, with an on-premises version planned for the second quarter of 2026.
